Here are the 10 covers of 10 magazine that were released today. My favourite cover is the one featuring Helmut Lang. Who thought a passport photo would ever be on the front of a fashion magazine?  Love it!

As part of 10 Magazine's 10th Anniversary celebrations, the 10 Magazine team have unveiled their latest issue featuring 10 iconic fashion designer portrait covers.

The 10 designer covers feature Alber Elbaz, Azzedine Alaia, Dolce & Gabbana, Donatella Versace, Helmut Lang, John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford and Vivienne Westwood. The issue has the headline "10 Fashion God's – About their Woman".

"These are some of the faces that have made our industry and it is an honour to be celebrating them. 10 magazine has a history of celebrating the best creative talent in the world and we are honoured that these icons of fashion agreed to be our cover stars." Sophia Neophitou-Apostolu, Founder and Editor-in-Chief.

David and Victoria Beckham are the cover models for the Spring issue of 10 magazine.The covers were shot by photographer by Cedric Buchet. David covers 10 Men while Victoria covers 10. The magazine is famous for not using celebrities on its covers and this is the first time that  it has decided to feature a celeb on the cover.

“This is an incredibly exciting way to start our second decade and the first time we’ve ever featured celebrities on our covers. For me David and Victoria are an intriguing power entity with a truly renaissance attitude. They are multi-faceted and incredibly clever in the approach to their celebrity status, defying the transient nature of that celebrity to create true longevity as a brand and force to be reckoned with.” Editor-in-Chief, Sophia Neophitou.

I'm also loving the Beckhams on the cover as they both have made a huge impact on fashion. The only thing that i'm worried about is who will sell more copies of 10, David or Victoria.

Ten Magazine  is known for their  artistic  covers. They usually have some of the more creative covers and they are also one of the few fashion magazines who don't  feature celebrities on the covers of their issues.  The latest  issue of the quarterly features  Katie Fogarty as shot by photographer Jessica Craig-Martin . The  headline reads  "TOO LIPPY" and shows Katie with an angst ridden expression wiping lipstick off of her face. Its gutsy but I am not sure if I would have chosen it as the cover ( I am one of those old school guys who thinks  covers need to have eyes in them)  but nonetheless its a great picture.

RIchad Gray  my fave fashion editor,  over at 10 Magazine, has posted the first images of the Raf Simons Autumn WInter 09/10 ad campaign. Apparently Raf Simons  said “I like the fact he’s screaming at the brand” – 10 Magazine.

The cover of 10 Men was released online two weeks ago. Now the women's  cover has also been revealed. It features model Alla Kostromicheva. I love this girl's name she sounds like a superhero.  Whenever I hear her  last name I think of Nuclear mushrooms and explosions.  That might be partly due to her appearance in Christoper Kane's   nuclear themed  2010 resort collection.

Loving  her hair on the cover but I'm missing her eyebrows just a bit (That's due to my unnatural fixation with eyebrows).

Richard Gray over at 10 Magazine ( who I am currently e-stalking…love their blog) has revealed images of a collab betweeen East London jeweler Husam El Odeh and Topman. Sounds really exciting. Husam is one of the most craved after jewellery designers in London and so far I’m liking the images of the collab that ive seen. However, I’m completely baffled about what the silver guy in the above picture is doing.  

The line launches on October 19th.

10 Magazine has posted the cover of their  Autumn 2009 issue on the "10 Blog". Patrick Meckelburg is the cover model and was photographed by Serge LeBlon. According to the blog  The  cover and accompanying editorial will feauture lots of Prada. No news yet on what the cover of the women's mag will look like.

  Art & Fashion photography are two areas that I find very captivating. Artist John Paul Thurlow, has combined  both areas with his new project.  John-Paul Thurlow plans to “retrace” the past by recreating  his favourite covers in lead and ink. So far he has  recreated over 70 covers. He has drawn the covers of Nova, Vogue, 10 Magazine, V Magazine and Dazed & Confused.

(To the left) John-Paul has paid homage to iconic  model, Twiggy. Below are more cover re-inventions featuring Grace Jones and Kate Moss.

These images are from Neil Barrett's  Spring Summer 2010 collection. The show confirmed  a trend that I had noticed in the menswear hows in Milan.
Sleeves are so passe in Spring Summer 2010.
I swear in every menswear show i see  lots of sleeveless shirts. It seems arms are the big trend of 2010 menswear. It might be too late to get  nice toned set of guns for this Summer but there is still enough time to beef up by 2010. So before it gets too late I so need to hire a personal trainer!!!

As well as featuring lots of sleeveless shirts the Neil Barrett S/S 2010  collection had a very masculine feel with long shirts. Black white and earth tones were the main colours in the collection. The whole collection seems inspired by fencing from the cuts of the jackets to the knee  length pants. They are reminescent of fencing breeches and jackets.

 What do 10 magazine and  animated   80's Rock Star, Jem  have in common? Well apparently they ve got the same theme song ( just substitute  Jem for 10 in the theme song).  For those of you who are too young  (or old) to remember Jem. Jem and the Holograms was  part of the Saturday morning TV lineup of everyone that was  kid in the 80's. She was a Rockstar/Heroine by night  a regular girl by daylight. The show was a collision of music, art, action and fashion…kind of like 10 Magazine. Starting to see the similarities yet? Yeah, thought so.

The 10 Magazine Blog has now become a favourite of mine its informative and witty (like all things British LOL).  Richard Gray is just so funny. I've added their blog to my lists of daily visits.

Another thing that I found recently is that Premier Model Management has started a blog!!! Its been around for a little while but I just found it. Its about time the UK modelling agencies started blogging. Blogging is the way to the FUTURE!!!!!  

Most of the US agencies are blogging  and  Premier is the first to do it this side of the pond. Red Models, Women Model Management, Vision Model Mangement and Major Model Management all have regularly updated blogs.
