Tyson Beckford must have been taking advice from Will Smith. Will Smith was recently was quoted as saying. “I’m turning 40 this year, so I’m going to be naked as much as possible before it’s too late,”

The Beckham’s have a new fragrance called "Signature," and its due out this September. Earlier this week, Victoria Beckham was at Harvey Nichols in Manchester promoting ‘Signature For Him and Signature For Her’ by Harvey Nichols. Below is the ad Campaign. While only Victoria was present at Harvey Nichols this week both David and Victoria Beckham are featured in the Television advert.

What do you think of the advert? Will you be buying ‘Signature For Him and Signature For Her’? I think the ad isnt revolutionary but its sexy and sophisticated. I will post some of the print ads for the Beckhams "signature" ad campaign later today.

Justin Timberlake and his friend Trace Ayala started the William Rast label back in 2006. The Label started out as a premium denim brand however they are now branching out to a wider market. To promote the men’s and Womenswear label Justin Timberlake is becoming William Rast. He will be starring in a series of Web Movies called My Name is William Rast. The Ad campign features Justin and model, Erin Wasson in a Bonnie and Clyde-esque scene. The have committed some unknown crime and are on the run from the law.

Many of you might not know who Eric Daman is. However, I bet you have seen his work before. Eric Daman is the man responsible for styling the cast of Gossip Girl. He ensures that they keep up an image fitting of New York’s upper East Side. From Chuck’s Bright coloured coats and signature scarfs, Blair’s preppy ensembles to Vanessa’s Bohemian style. Eric Daman is the brains behind this style masterpiece. I think Gossip Girl has made a huge impact on style today, no other show currently airing is as big of an influence on style as Gossip girl. I was really pleased to find this little gem while surfing Youtube. Its a short video about the Eric Daman and his role on the TV show.

Sarah Jessica Parker and American Vogue editor, Anna Wintour are teaming up to raise funds for Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign. The show will  take place on Spetember 9th in New York City during Fashion Week.

The runway show will feature designs from Beyonce Knowles’ label, House of Dereon, Diane Von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs and Zac Posen. Wintour has previous joined forces with Calvin Klein to riase funds for Obama.

These are the six covers of the latest issue of Pop Magazine. The "Super Glossy Magazine" has cast Naomi Campbell, Natalia Vodianova, Jourdan Dunn,  Agyness Deyn,Oluchi Onweagba and Amber Valletta as its cover models. The magazine that is published Tri Annually  has a religous theme for its 6 covers. As all the models look like stylzed nuns.  Hats off to Katie Grand, All of the covers are sensational.

Kate Moss is  solid gold…Literally. Artist, Marc  Quinn has created a gold sculpture of Kate Moss that is valued at £1.5 million ( that is about $2.85 million dollars). The Statue is entitled Siren and it is not the first time that Marc Quinn has immortalized Kate Moss. He has previously made statues of Kate in Bronze and plaster.

In reference to the  gold statue of Moss, Mr Quinn said, "I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who's the ideal beauty of the moment. But even Kate Moss doesn't live up to the image"

This sculpture is said to be the largest gold statue created since the times of the Ancient Egyptians.

The statue will be part of an exhibition called Statuephilia  that will go on display at the British Museum from October 4th to January 25th.

There was Naomi, There was Kate, and now Agyness Deyn is the current queen of the British runways. Well the current supermodel extraordinaire is moving from DNA model management in New York to Women modeling agency.  According to Fashionista Agyness Deyn will still be represented by DNA for the Spring/ Summer 2009 Season but after that Agyness Deyn will be on the books at Women.

Project Catwalk goes Bye Bye

I have been reading on the blogs that Project Runway seems to have lost its steam this season. Ex Project Runway  Winner , Christian Siriano has even been quoted as saying " it sucks." So it wasn't much of a surprise when i read today that the British version, Project Catwalk, has been axed. In my opinion   Project runway never really caught up with its American counterpart.

I imagined the British Version as the knockoff version of the American version.  For example the host of both shows.  The American Version has Heidi Klum while the British version ( Project Catwalk) has Kelly Osbourne. Now don't get me wrong Kelly Osbourne's sense of style has  improved from her day's when she featured on Blackwell's worst dressed list. I Just didn't think she was a right fit for the show, They should have picked someone who had more of a legacy in fashion, maybe  Naomi or Kate Moss ( The host didn't even have to be someone British). 

Bye Bye Project Catwalk!!!

Brandon Perry is a New York based male model. He hasnt been modeling for long but since he started modeling he has worked with some of New York's best photographers.  You might even recognize him from Shermaine Jeremy's  music video for her hit single "I came to show you" or maybe you've seen him modeling on the Wendy Williams show. Expect to see lots more of Brandon Perry. I could so envisage him in GQ or Krave magazine. The shocking thing is that  Brandon isnt signed to an agency yet. ( note to agents snap him up quickly , while you still have a chance)

Earlier this month I  interviewd Ivan Rusilko. He is a model who was previously signed with Evolution Model Management in London and at the time of the Interview he was getting ready to compete in Mister USA. Well, as I predicted Ivan Rusilko OBLITERATED the competition and won the title. Ivan, who  is a doctor/artist/model can now add Mister USA to his list of titles.  Congrats Ivan !!!

Famous Irish playwright Oscar Wilde famously said,

"Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months."

Well that time is now upon us. In 3 weeks time, London Fashion Week Spring Summer 09 will be upon us. It runs from the 14th of Septemeber to the 19th. I personally Enjoy Spring/ Summer collections more than Fall/Winter collections. So as far as I am concerned  London Fashion Week Spring/ Summer is the pinncle of  The British fashion calendar.

I took a look at the schedule  of London Fashion Week and it looks JAM-PACKED. Some really great designers are showing there collections. One show that I'm particularly looking  forward to at London Fashion Week is adidas by Stella Mccartney.  For those of you who havent seen the line before. Its really fashionable sportwear with very feminine cuts. In other words its what I think  Blair Waldorf ( Gossip Girl) would wear if she did sports.

I've liked adidas by Stella Mccartney ever since I saw there ad campaigns. There always really pretty and have and ethereal quality. Below is an one of their ads on NYmag

1.Tell us a little about yourself – (where you grew up, your life now – anything you wish to tell)

I was born and raised in Las Vegas. I loved growing up in Vegas! I am so used to everything being 24/7, that when I go to other places and things are closed early, I’m like
"woah! what is wrong with this place!?" ha ha. I have always known what I have wanted to do from an early age. My idea of fun as a child was making up shows to perform for people. All throughout high school, my friends would get mad at me for not wanting to party and go out. I was always content at home writing lyrics, and working on my goals in life. I am a very goal-oriented girl, and it is very important to me to reach my goals. I never want to wonder, "what if?". I won’t stop until I am satisfied (which may very well be never ha ha).

2. How did you get involved in modeling?

Modeling was never something I really considered pursuing. It was by coincidence that it happened. I am a headliner in a show in Las Vegas called "Fever". One of my cast members danced for an agency, and she talked me into doing it for extra money. I went in to sign with the agency for dancing, and they started offering modeling jobs to me. I ended up loving it! I love being in front of the camera! With modeling, I get to be something different everyday. I get bored easily, so it work perfect for me.

London Fashion Update:I was just reading the Blay report and I saw some new  Yves Saint Laurent featuring Supermodel extraordinaire Naomi Campbell. The ads are appearing in New York Subways and are for the fall/winter Yves Saint Laurent  collection. I like the couture pose with the hunched shoulders and as usual Naomi looks stunning. Thumbs up to YSL, Naomi Campbell and Stefano Pilati. The ads look very simplistic  but very elegant.

I just got sent some gorgeous Polaroids that I thought I  would share with everyone. They were sent to me by  New York based fashion photographer, Jonathan Leder. The Polaroids are  of some  of the big names that have featured prominently in the major fashion shows this year. Included in the Polaroids were some snaps of  the current modeling "IT girls", such as Ana Mihajlovic, Sasha Luss and Natalia Chabanenko .
