Like Husband like Wife. Former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham will follow in the footsteps of her  husband David by modelling Armani underwear in a £12 million advertizing campaign for Emporio Armani underwear. You'll have to wait until the Spring/Summer 09 collection hits the shelves.The campaign will be shot by Mert Alas and Marus Piggott. The duo also shot David Beckham's Armani ads .

Westfield Shopping Centre is officially opening on October 30th… Tommorow!!!! All the London Fashionistas and Fashionistos must be so excited. The Westfield Shopping Centre is going to have all of the major high street brands as well as some major international designers. Some of the stores that are opening at Westfield will be new to London such as Mulberry and Tiffany.

Take a quick look  at the website. The video advertisment for the Westfield shooping center is really beautiful.  If the Centre is anything like the ad then it is definitely worth checking out. Ive posted a "making of " video that i found on youtube.

Despite the rumours that  POP magazine would fold after the departure of its editor Katie Grand. Instead Bauer will not publish a Spring edition. They are using this time to recruit a new Editor-in Chief. POP will return in Autumn 2009. Katie Grand will be  working on a new  magazine for Conde Nast (the Publishers of Vogue) called "LOVE".

I guess its true, "Once you pop, you just can't stop!"

Mr. Blackwell has passed away this past week. He  was famous for his annual worst dressed list. Some celebs that have graced his list include Kelly Osbourne, Britney Spears, Madonna, Camilla Parker Bowles, Victoria Beckham, the Olsen twins, and  Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

His first worst dressed list was published in 1960. The list was published, on the second Tuesday in January, and Im sure lots of celebs dreaded that day.  I wonder if anyone will take up his mantle and continue  his list.

Here are some pics from 'The Agatha Charity Fashion Show'.  It was at the Lincoln Drill Hall  on Monday 13th October, and was in aid of The Lincoln Breast Cancer Unit  and The Lincoln Alzheimer's Society.

Zac Efron , I mean Chace Crawford has landed the first ever winter issue of VMan. The cover was shot by legendary fashion photographer, Mario Testino. The shoot is reminiscent of old hollywood glamour. Chace joins the other  "Gossip Girl" castmates who have been on the covers of big fashion mags.
Is it just me or does Chace Crawford look like Zac Efron in hairspray?

Aussiebum is releasing a limited edition line of mens underwear with glow in the dark waistbands. The "glo" line will come in 4 neon colours and will debut in stores on October 24th.

I dont think this is a trend that will stick around but its definitely cool.

 Heidi Klum has landed her first GOT MILK? ad. She joins a long list of celebs and models who have previously done this campaign. The campaign was done especially for Halloween and Heidi is styled with pigtails and a milk moustache.

The text on the ad reads: “Haute Cowture. Trick or treat? There’s no trick to it. The nine essential nutrients in milk make it the perfect after-treat treat for your whole family. So this Halloween, dress up your costume with a look that’s always in style. Wunderbar!”

Earlier this week Madonna  wore a pair of  £900, Chanel "gun shoes" that were designed by Karl Lagerfeld ( the official name of the shoes is "Miami Vice") . She sported the shoes at the premiere of her film "Filth and Wisdom".

Well basically, Madonna got thrashed  for wearing the shoes. Some people even went as far to say that she is promoting gun violence in London.

 A spokesperson from the organization 'Mother's Against Murder And Aggression', was quoted as saying :

 "I am horrified that Madonna can see these shoes as fashion. Celebrities have a massive part to play and an icon like Madonna should have more sense. "

Crimestoppers even commented by saying that

"'Wearing gun-themed attire is foolish and insensitive and is sending out entirely the wrong message."

It didnt just stop there. In  one publication readers even said that she should be ashamed of herself and that she should go knit a sweater or something to that effect.

GIMME A BREAK!!!! I really think people are going overboard. I think Madonnas choice of shoes has no impact on knife culture among youths in London.

Victoria Beckham was in Dusseldorf, Germany promoting the new dVb denim range at Jades Boutique. This woman does everything from fragrances to dress collections to denim. I wonder what is next? A line of shoes?  World domination?

The British Fashion Awards  will take place  at Art Deco RHS Lawrence Hall, on November 25. The event will celebrate the best in the British Fashion Industry. Once again, Swarovskiis sponsoring the event. Expect the event to be glitzy and glamorous with all of the fashion industries biggest stars in attendance.

Andrew Christian Underwear has a new viral video campaign that they have launched. Its to help promote the sale on their Obama Underwear. What do you think?

Anyone who knows me, knows that I hate to see emaciated models marching down the catwalk. None of the Super Models that I grew up on and loved during the 1990's (cindy, stephanie linda etc…) were super thin skeletal looking creatures. However, equally damaging , Is the "Anti Fatism"/"Pro Fat" movement. Instead of promoting being healthy i find sometimes the media goes overboard and promotes obesity. Like a rash, areas of excessive weight are warning signs from the body saying " stop throwing trash in me i have no use for it!" However i believe a balance can be struck here. Beauty is the reflection of health and if we move towards that notion i believe it will be a positive and realistic step forward.

NB. that most of the Magazines that are promoting  a larger body image are still using  industry standard male models( who have less than 8 % body fat).

 Once again, Harry Potter Alumni, Emma Watson is in the fashion mags. This time she is on the cover Canadian Fashion mag, Flare.  Im not the biggest fan of this cover. I think the styling is good but I dont think it works for Emma. I still think of Emma Watson, as little Hermione and I think I would  prefer to see her in a more youthful shoot. Last month she was in Italian Vogue check those shots out here.

I really like the black and white headshot below. I think its better than the cover.

Who is the Guy in Britney Spears video for womanizer? He’s Brandon Stoughton from La Models.

Last Friday, Britney Spears released her comeback single for womanizer featuring Male Model,  Brandon Stoughton. Since Britney seems to have cleaned up her act and gotten her career back on track this single will probably do really well.  That means people all over the world will  see  Brandon Stoughton.

Twelve years ago Tyson Beckford  was well known model in the fashion community. He had a Ralph Lauren campaign securely under his belt. However, there was one pivotal  event that i think turned him from a top male model  to a Houselhold name and a male supermodel . That event was his appearance as the male lead in Toni Braxton’s” #1 hit single “Unbreak my Heart”.

Only time will tell if this music video appearance will have a similar effect for Brandon Stoughton. My little  Crystle Ball makes me think that can expect to see lots more of Brandon.

The video premiered on ABC’s 20/20 last night. In once scene of the video Britney is wearing a black and white outfit and she is sporting a super trendy bob that is very “Anna Wintour meets Posh Spice”. Its a really sleek looking video and I think its much better than the videos from her last album. Notice the Nokia product placement lol. I bet she’ll get a grammy nomination for this. Also featured in the video is male model Brandon Stoughton.
