If you have ever visited fantasticsmag.com then you might recognize male model, Luke Bontius. Fantasticsmag has featured Luke, in 3 spreads shot by photographer, Lindsay Lozon. This Canadian model was nice enough to answer some questions. From reading his answers you'll see that he has got a very positive outlook on life, a great sense of humour and one of the coolest Afros I've seen in ages.
1.Tell us a little about yourself - (where you grew up, your life now - anything you wish to tell)Well I'm Canadian born here in Toronto. I've always been very active and athletic taking full advantage of all four seasons and the sports each had to offer. I grew up an only child with a hard working single mother. This allowed me much time to myself and as a result I think I can get very shy sometimes, but I love to break out of my shell on stage. Any stage, as long as folks are watching.

At the time that I decided to model I had already tried a few other career paths like auto mechanics, landscaping and police work. None of these held my attention so the idea of modeling was a welcome change. I also received a lot of positive feedback from others.
3. What do you think is the biggest misconception about male models? do you live up to that misconception?

I find that a lot of people outside of the business immediately think I'm gay or a sex fiend, and I'm neither. But who knows what the future holds!
4.What is your ultimate goal as a model?
My goal as a model is to see as much of God's earth as I can. As for everything else, I trust that Jesus will guide me through my successes and failures.

I like Lindsay Lozon who I worked with on fantastics mag. He's looking to make magic and he pushed me to go outside of my comfort zone. That's just the kind of environment I need to get better.
6. What is the Craziest Thing You have ever done?
I think it might be the time I defecated in my friend's pool. Oh , was that too much info?

It would be Men's health. I love the plain white back drop and what the magazine promotes.
8. Describe your personal style?
8. Describe your personal style? I normally like to have my hair braided but it is often out. I wear a lot of slim fit jeans with slim fit t-shirts, earth colours, leather jackets, dress shoes, whatever. I don't like to stand out on a regular day, but on a special night I'll steal the show by going in all white or some other stunning colour combo. And I like suits.

I just exited a two year plus relationship so i'm gonna need some time, but yeah, I am single.
10. If i were to turn on your MP3 player. What song would play?
It could be anything from Marvin Gaye to Cold Play. I enjoy all genres of music... except techno.

I never had a problem. Or maybe I just don't know what I'm missing.

Dennis is my brother. I have been a truck driver for 14 years and have driven 2 million paid miles. I have received many safe driving awards over the years. I am single and have never been married. I have a wide range of interests and am pretty much an open book. Currently I drive a 2006 Freightliner for a major carrier. I dont go to Canada very often. I dont have a dedicated route so I run the entire lower 48. I enjoy reading cinema music sports travel etc.
