Andy Espin sent me some shots he took at french, celebrity harstylist, Charlie Le Mindu's show. As usual the shots are superb. The wigmaker/hairdresser put on a really extravagant show . His hair creations were very avante garde and pushed the limits of fashion. Charlie le Mindu has made a for himself by styling some of the hottest rockers around and by styling har for Blend and I-d Magazine.

 There is one picture from the show that is making waves around the world. Charlie Le Mindu created a Rodent head piece that was made of the carcasses of white mice and rats. Hear is a picture of the model wearing the headpiece and they say "being a model isnt a hard job?". She is obviously a very brave girl and she isnt afraid of rodents.

Gene Kiegel has to be one of my fave photographers in Britain. Its hard to imagine that someone so artistic initially studied Computer Science and Electrical engineering and pursued a career in the IT Industry.

His style has an almost cinematic quality and I would describe his work as a visual master class. There is so much originality and personality in his shots. The images come together to create beautiful stories.  He sites legendary photographers such as  Robert Maxwell, Irwin Penn, Ellen Von Unwerth, Rankin, Terry Richardson, Steven Klein, Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh, and Paolo Roversi as his inspirations.

I saw one of his editorials that I really liked so i asked if it would be okay for me to share wth you. Last year  he shot this editorial showcasing the  glamorous lives of the Jetset. The editorial is called ‘Jets, Cribs & Rides’  and features Anth Lowther, Parris Taylor and some of the guys from from  Dynamite Hosts, Lauren & Josephine from M&P and Sean B from Nevs.

Every time I see this Editorial I hear one of Lady Gaga's songs.

This Monday, I went to the Untold Fashion event at London's Foundling Museum. The event was "a collaboration of newly emerging designers".

I actually, got my invite for the show on Sunday but I was really glad to go because one of my fave emerging designers, Omar Mansoor was showing his collection there. I first saw his work at last years Wimbledon Fashion Week, and i was quite impressed (which isn't very easy to do). His last collection was a fusion of Eastern and Western style.

This seasons collection was different but still brilliant. The collection featured intricate draping and had a very Grecian feel to it, reminiscent of Bodyamr but with a more playful, girly vibe. Dresses were also embellished with beads, sequins and swarovski crystals. There was also a lot of movement in the garments which was almost sylph like.

Agyness Deyn's BFF, Henry Holland unveiled his new collection this week.  Agyness lent her support by headlinng the show. The collection was far removed from his recent T-Shirt collection. He made use of monochromatic colours and horizontal whte stripes. The choice of colourst kind of reminds me of a paint chart.

The collection has a very grown up feel to it and at first glance it isnt what you would typcally expect from Henry's House of Holland label. Its kind of fusion of luxury and quirky.

Vauxhall Fashion Scout Merit Award winner, William Tempest showed his collection at London Fashion Week last night. The designer rose to widescale attention when Emma Watson wore one of his dresses to the "Tales of Despereaux"  premiere. The young Actress  s a big fan of Tempest Work and was in the front row of his London Fashion Week Show.   The collection doesn't dissapoint and is the manifestaton of style & sophisticaton.

Here is the video from the Marios Schwab show. I have to say I think this is one of the best shows I have seen out of London Fashion Week.lots of rich colours with a very high end feel to the collection.Black, White, Red ,Green, and Fuschia were the main colours in the collection. The whole collection was very form fitting and was very flattering to the female form. He also made usage of marbling  and paneling and the collection was said to be inspired by crystals. Overall, I have to say this show was probably the best show at LFW.

Pull and Bear

Sam Way ( who I think is the UK's best male model  since Will Chalker and Andrew Cooper) is part of Pull and Bear's Spring Summer 09 Campaign. He previously did the Pull & Bear Autumn/Winter 08/09 campaign . This  time the shoot was lensed by photographer Daniel Riera.

I really like the Pull & Bear Spring /Summer collection its very earthy and its got a very midwestern vibe  to it. I would describe it as the Wild West meets style. I also like the overexposed look of the shots .

When I first saw the Hello Kitty collaboration with Mac Cosmetics  i thought it was "a bit strange". I have just seen the Hello Kitty/Mac Cosmetics commercial that was posted on fashionindie.com and I still think its completely bizarre but… I THINK I LIKE IT!!!

The ad has an Alice in wonderland theme but the Cheshire Cat has been replaced by 'Hello Kitty'. Its really bright, psychedelic and very visually stimulating. I still think the guys dancing in 'Black Hello Kitty' heads and black latex leggings are a tad creepy. What do you think of the ad?

Earlier this month i-D Magazine revealed the 12 alternate covers of their 'Best of British' Issue. Youtube user ChannelDoBeDo has posted a series of interviews with some of the top models featured on the 12 covers .

The 12 covers were shot by fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø and styled by Edward Enninful. Jourdan Dunn, Kate Moss, Susie Bick, Naomi Campbell, Stella Tennant, Eliza Cummings, Alice Dellal, Daisy Lowe, Twiggy, Yasmin Le Bon, Lily Donaldson and Agyness Deyn are featured on the covers.

About a month ago some stills from Leona's new Music video for "I will be" were posted online. In the video Leona plays a robber who is arrested by Police after a heist. The pictures from the video featured Leona being arrested and cuffed. Some extremely gullible fans thought that the pics were real  and that Leona had actually been arrested.

Hopefully, they wont think the same of Peaches Geldof and Daisy Lowe's shoot for W Magazine. The pair star in an editorial called Law & Order  hat was shot by  Steven Meisel. Socialite models seem to have replaced the supermodels. Maybe its the effect of the credit crunch. I think that during times of financial hardship people become more obsessed and fascinated by the lives of the rich and famous.

Earlier this month Pixie Geldof was the cover girl of Vogue Italia. It seems the "It Girls" are here to stay.

A month ago I heard rumors that Burberry's difusion line, Thomas Burberry was being discontinued . Well those rumours must be wrong becuase the images from the Thomas Burberry Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign have now found their way online. Thomas Burberry is the younger more casual line from Burbbey.

British Couture designer, Gareth Pugh and Fashion Icon, Daphne Guinness are on the latest cover of Timeout  Magazine. The cover was shot by photographer Matt Irwin. Gareth Pugh is also the Guest Editor of the issue.

Gareth rose to mainstream attention when pop star Beyonce wore his creations in her music videos for Single Ladies and Diva.

 Imagine this scenario

You have a shoot coming up and the model falls through at the 11th hour. Well if you are Zach Burns Model/Photographer you step up to the plate and  play the role of model but…. if the photographer is the model who will be the photographer???? *insert Dramatic Opera music lol*

 Zach and the team over at We're Worth It Too  were faced with this scenario. Zach was the model but they needed a photographer. Dennis Lye (the creator of online  Men's Style Magazine WWIT) who usually styles the shoots became photographer  for the day and I have to say he did a really good job.  I first saw the shoot on the WWIT blog and then i visited Zach's photography blog and read that this was the first time Dennis had done a shoot!!!!!. There's definitely some talent there worth developing.

Kate Moss is on the cover of New York Magazine. Inside the magazine, she sat down for an interview alongside Topshop owner, Sir Phillip Green and she talks about her Topshop collection as well as dismisses rumours that she is pregnant. She tells New York Magazine, "even my friends are phoning me up and saying “Are you pregnant?” I just put on a couple of pounds" She even reveals that she  "is not a designer. I’ve never been to school or been trained. I can’t draw a dress, really. But I know what I like."  A revelation thats not all that surprising  because the main appeal about the Kate Moss Collection is that it has Kate's seal of approval and Kate definitely knows a thing or two about fashion.
