Vivienne Westwood  and Melissa Shoes have teamed up to create a collection of Eco-friendly shoes. Usually Eco-friendly means wearing PVC shoes  or Crocs!!!!!! However Melissa has created a special material called  called Melflex ,that has characteristics which provide improved elasticity, impermeability and resistance. Its formula contains products which are hypoallergenic and 100% safe to your health. It is odorless, neutral and natural.

The shoes  have been designed in two styles Lady Dragon and Three Straps.

Agyness Deyn is on another cover of Vogue! She covers Vogue Brazil's  March Issue ( and I am barely posting about it minutes before April) I swear this girl has been on the cover of every edition of Vogue, shes done US Vogue, Korean Vogue, Chinese Vogue, Vogue Nippon , British Italian Vogue, Martian Vogue and Vogue Jupiter.

Ok … Those last two editions of Vogue dont really exist  but if they did I am sure Agyness would have been on the cover.

It's been a little while since I've last posted, This has a been very very busy week. A few days ago i got sent some new shots by  one of our new contributors Ryan Rey. The gorgeous shots are of an even more gorgeous model named Cecilia from John Casablancas' agency in Vancouver. Ryan described the photos as "not overdone… but still telling a personal story" and having a "sexy bedroom vibe" . I definitely agree! As you all know I am really loving the simplistic  editorial style photos at the moment and i think Ryan's photos are very Oh la la!

Here comes the second installment of "OMG: No they didn't", bringing you wacky and weird news from the world of fashion.

When i  envision Policemen , designer men's fashion labels aren't the first thing that comes to mind. Well now Police officials in Berlin have actually banned  police from wearing ten fashion labels while on duty. The banned brands include, Fred Perry, Ben Sherman, ACAB, Alpha Industries, Consdaple, Lonsdale, Pit Bull, Outlaw, Troublemaker, and Thor Steinar. The rationale behind the ban is that these labels are popular among neo-nazis and that police offices may be associated with right-wing ideals if they wear these brands.

Although, some of these brands do have links to Neo-Nazism,  by lumping all of these  labels together  it  will bring loads of negative publicity to companies such as Ben Sherman and Fred Perry both of whom have spoken out against Neo-Nazism. Lonsdale has also distanced themselves from extremist groups by sponsoring Anti Racism events and campaigns, and by refusing to deliver products to known neo-Nazi retailers. They even launched a campaign in 2003 called, "Lonsdale Loves All Colours", which saw  a subsequent decline in their popularity among right wing groups.

I think this whole fashion- blacklisting is not a good idea because while some labels might support these ideologies, It will also cause some consumers to stop buying some brands that have nothing to do with Neo-Nazis.

R&B/ Pop songstress, Ciara has released a new music video  with Justin Timberlake called "Love Sex Magic" and shes looking more "Sasha Fierce" than Beyonce. She even wears a pair of  metal glasses. It seems that statement eyewear is here to stay. Shes the third celeb along with Kanye and Beyonce to wear statement eyewear in their music video's. Expect to see loads of people wearing statement glasses that look cool but obscure your vision.

 Vogue India has recycled the March Cover of American Vogue. Indian Vogue now has Michelle Obama on the cover. I guess this means Obamania has also hit India. The cover is IDENTICAL to this months American Vogue with the only  exception being that they  have changed the title from black to pink.

Now shes even with her Husband. He has landed on the cover of Men's Vogue twice,  first in 2006 again in  October 2008.

I wonder If we will ever see a British Prime Minister or his wife on the cover of Vogue…Nah , probably not!

Gap's Design Director, Patrick Robinson, held a special preview of  the fall winter 09/10 collection for LOVE Magazine. The preview took place this Monday in London.

Patrick Robinson has  previously worked for brands such as Paco Rabanne, Perry Ellis and Giorgio Armani Collezioni. In his role as Design Director he  is revitalizing  the Gap brand. Patrick told British Vogue that  his "aim is that the clothes should look three to four times more expensive than they are. I want the customer to look at the product and be surprised by the price. I want the collection to be affordable, but the product needs to be the attraction."

The collection is verydifferent from what we have come to  expect from Gap and its very stylish and has definitely catapulted  Gap back into strong contention with  other high street brands. Its departure from the classic Gap line and diverges into a collection that is filled with well styled pieces in interesting cuts.

British Model of the year, Jourdan Dunn was also one of the models in the showcase.

Here is the second part of the email that Jonathan Leder recently sent me. It's some fab shots of Cassandra that he shot for Mirage Magazine. You can see the  70's influence in the style of the photos. As usual his photos have such an organic quality to them.

Blackbook Magazine has Nicole Richie on the cover and shes looking just like Lady Gaga, you might even say that she does Gaga better than Lady Gaga. Shes got platinum blonde hair  and a heavy fringe. Shes looking "Half psychotic sick Hypnotic".  In the soot Nicole is wearing  Graffiti leggings, bijule nail rings and a fierce plastic coat. The April issue is the Music Issue and the mag also has features on Pete Doherty and Lady Sovereign. Im not a 100% percent sure why they picked Nicole Richie for the cover since she isn't a musician but maybe this means that Nicole may soon follow in her dad, Lionel Richie's' footsteps and take up a career in music.

Red Model, Alan Carey is on the Spring/Summer 09, cover of British GQ Style. The cover bares a strong resemblance to the Iconic Obama posters by Shepard Fairey. The magazines cover reads "All Hail The New America". Inside the mag is an editorial  titled "A Man for all Seasons". The fashion industry seems to be very enthralled  and inspired by the Obamas.

The label has also been featured in Elle and Cosmopolitan. Here are the images of their Spring/Summer 09 collection. Its very young, girly and sophisticated with influences of the 60's mod style. The collection is available  online and in 70 independent stores across the UK as well being available from the TOPSHOP flagship store on London's Oxford Street.

Nike is named after the Greek Goddess of Victory. The famous "Tick logo" is supposed to represent 'Nike's' wings. In keeping with the theme of victory Nike called upon English Premier League players, England Rugby Union players and international sportsmen for their new V for Victory campaign.

The campaign was photographed by famed fashion photographer, Rankin and features Cesc Fabregas, Joe Cole, Andrei Arshavin and Didier Drogba, David Strettle, Dominic Waldouck, Rafael Nadal, Maxime Medard and Gonzalo Canale also feature in the campaign.

  Another image for Victoria Beckham's Emporio Armani underwear campaign has surfaced. Is it just me or does this look like some sort of strange Yoga Pose? Someone has obviously been doing some stretching. The pic gives new meaning to the phrase "Bend it like Beckham"

If you have been reading this blog for a while you know that Gossip Girl is our favourite show. We are addicted!!!!!!!! The Gossip Girl cast posed for a racy photoshoot for Rolling Stone Magazine with fashion photographer Terry Richardson. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester pose for the cover shot where they are eating Ice-cream. The cover will make pre-teen fans go "OMG!". Taylor Momsen, Jessica Shzor, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick are also in the editorial. I like the editorial its fun and current. I only wish we had gotten to see some more shots of the other cast members as well.

I recently posted some images from the Pull & Bear Spring/Summer campaign. Pull & Bear has to be one of my favourite stores, There are only 3 branches in the UK but I expect more branches to open . Above is the video  featuring the Spring/Summer Ad campaign.There Spring Summer line is very trendy, lots of fringing and has midwestern  aesthetique.

The Immortal Shalom Harlow, and Eva Herzigova are in the Spring Summer campaign for H&M . The billboards have started to pop up at various locations around London and they feature the two ladies and Actor Vincent Gallo posing with Geometric props. I like this ad campaign for two reasons

• 1. The whole concept is really well executed. Love the geometric shapes
• 2. Shalom Harlow proves that women can still look fabulous well after 30. ( she puts girls half her age to shame)

Scarlett Johansson has returned to being a brunette and is on the cover of the April Issue of French Vogue. The Cover reads Scarlet Johansson, The Anti Marilyn. On the cover Scarlet is seen with her new auburn hair and she is wearing a Dolce & Gabbana  corset. The shoot was photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Scarlet recently portrayed Marilyn Monroe when she was featured as the face of Dolce & Gabanna cosmetics.
