On May 14th 2009 Harvey Nichols in Birmingham hosted a special charity event, called One Night Only. The event was organised by Sapphires Model Management.

The event was hosted by fashion expert Caryn Franklin, former editor and presenter of British fashion institutions iD magazine and BBC's The Clothes Show .

All proceeds from the event went   to The Prince's Trust, youth charity.

Today we went to the Clothes Show Live in London. Unfortunately we missed most of the show as we were TRAPPED on a train for over two hours. We were supposed to arrive at 3:00pm but instead we spent are time baking on a hot steamy train.

Luckily we got to the Clothes Show in time to see a bit of the show before it ended. Here is a shot of the fashion show featuring celeb  guest, Katie Price (Jordan)  with British male models Anthony Lowther and Max Rogers from Storm. You might recognize Max Rogers from the recent Agent Provocateur ad. There is one more day of the Clothes Show left and we will be returning tomorrow to bring you the best bits of the show

Agyness Worrall and Luke Deyn uhh the Deyn Twins??, sorry, I mean Agyness Deyn and Luke Worrall star in the new Uniqlo print ads. Ever since these two models started their careers I have always thought that Luke and Agyness look like brother and sister.  Infact, I  think they look so much alike that I have actually mistaken them for one another . They both have an androgynous quality which adds to why I think they are so similar. I much prefer these Uniqlo images to the previous images that wree released two weeks ago.

Photographer and friend of this blog, Andy Espin recently sent me some photos that he recently shot of London based fashion designer, Kelly Goss' collection. Here are the  latest looks from  Kelly Gos's collection. If you are looking for something unique with a bit of edge then Kelly Goss  is a designer you should definitely check out.

London looked like a ghost town  between 7 and 9:30 last night . I swear that 90% of the population must have been at home  or in pubs watching the Champions League final between  Barcelona and Manchester United. However,  it wasn't a good night because  Manchester United was defeated 2-0  by Barcelona.

Although they lost the match Manchester United has come out on top in the fashion stakes! Iconic British Menswear designer  Paul Smith has signed a deal with the team to provide the clubs formal wear and accessories for the next three years.

Man Utd may not have been the best team this year but they are definitely the best dressed.

You have all seen the designs for the H&M – Designers Against AIDS (DAA) for Fashion Against AIDS campaign.  Make sure to check out the Charities video. The video features Katy Perry, Dita Von Teese, Estelle, Tokio Hotel, Robyn and Dangerous Muse talking about why they got involved in the cause and giving style tips  on how they would wear there designs. The collection debuted in stores  today (Thursday, May 28th.)

The people at Mango must really like the movie "Vicky Christina Barcelona".  For the past four seasons they have used Penelope Cruz as the face of the brand now they are switching to her co-star Scarlett Johansson.

The campaign was shot by Mario Sorrenti. I am a big fan of all the  Spanish brands (Zaras, Pull & Bear  and Mango )I am quite excited and can't wait to see  the campaign.

I have actually lost count of the number of Vogue issues that Kate Moss has covered. In the UK alone she  has had 27 covers. Im not even going to try to guess  at how many International Vogue covers she has had. Here is her July cover of Vogue Nippon. Is there any model that has had more covers of Vogue than Kate Moss? This woman really has had an amazing year, Shes been the face of Stella McCartney, ROberto Cavalli and Versace Shes had numerous covers of Vogue and Forbes just listed her as the 3rd highest paid model in the world. Only Giselle Bunschen and  Heidi Klum  made more money last year.

I've always thought of Karen Elson as being a fiery hot red headed vixen. Numero obviously agreed with me  because for their June 2009 cover they have shot Karen Elson surrounded by flames. As Paris Hilton would say- THAT'S HOT!!!!

Burberry Prorsum's show usually takes place in Milan but come  autumn this year the show will be returning to London.  The show takes place on 22 September 2009 and will be the finale of London Fashion Week. Its great to see one of Britain's  most prominent brands returning to London Fashion Week, the show will probably be the highlight of London Fashion week.

Not only does Mischa Barton have a new show, but she also has a new  magazine cover she is on the cover of L'Officiel  Paris  June 2009. The cover has a Papparazzi theme . Now I am really excited to see her new show.. it better be good!!!

Jaeger London

When i think of Jaeger I don’t immediately think of it as something I would wear. My aunt and uncle buy the brand by the  case load, so I usually think of it as appealing to an older demographic.  I just saw the images from the Jaeger London Spring/Summer 2009 lookbook and I am really impressed by the revitalization of the brand. Its got the high end look expected from  the Jaeger name but at the same time there is a youthful feel to the brand.

Last year, Stuart Stockdale came on board as Design Director of Jaeger. He previously revitalized  the image of Pringle of Scotland.  It might be early to say this but I think he can do for Jaeger, what  Christopher Bailey did for Burberry. 

In the nineties Burberry had a negative image in the  public it started to become popular among  football hooligans and chavs. Not really an association that  a Luxury brand wants to have. However, since Christopher Bailey took over as Creative director they have revitalized the brand  and it is once again one of Britains strongest Luxury brands.  I think we are in for a surprise from Jaeger.

In January rumours of Amy Winehouse making a capsule collection for Fred Perry were spinning around the blogosphere. That  rumour seemed not to have any truth to it as a line never materialized.

Grazia has revealed that Amy Winehouse will be  collaborating with PPQ. PPQ recently collaborated  with London Party scenester Peaaches Geldof. PPQ designer, Amy Molyneaux told Grazia:

During the financal crisis shows about glitz and glamour become really popular. That's part of the reason I think shows like Gossip Girl , the Hills  and the City are such big hits.

Mischa Barton has a new show on the CW called "A Beautiful Life" that fits into the niche of glitzy shows. In the new show Mischa plays a New York city fashion model. The preview of the episode features Zac Posen.  I was a huge OC fan, back in the day but I am a bit hesitant about this one. The cast is a bit puzzling. Elle Macpherson is a cast member and…. so is Corbin Bleu of High school Musical fame. Apparently, Corbin plays a young model that lives with Mischa. I just cant imagine the pint-sized actor playing a model.

POP magazine will be returning to newstands this summer. The magazine has been on hiatus ever since its editor, Katie Grand left to form Love Magazine for Conde Nast. The magazine will return under the leadership of Dasha Zhukova. Earlier this week the mag launched its new online portal.

A new era of Pop is on the horizon and there are lots  of changes planned  they have even reworked the logo.
