I also saw this amazing video on youtube with a remix of one of MJ's greatest hits. Its truly mesmerizing . Its a mix of Dirty Diana and Billie Jean and truly shows what a genious Michael Jackson was. After the jump you can see his music videos with supermodels Naomi Campbel, Tyra Banks and  Iman.

Could this be the first of the images for Madonnas campaign for  Louis Vuitton's Autumn Winter 2009 collection? Probably. More images will emerge over the next few weeks. This marks the second consecutive season that Madonna has bee the face of Louis Vuitton

I was  a bit worried that that Matthew Williamson's resort collection would look too much like his H&M capsule collection. However, I was wrong. Although it has the basic characteristics of Matthew WIlliamson (bright colours, vibrance, tie dye) it still  looks very original and fresh while maintaining Williamson's unique style. The collection is filled with varied pieces including jumpsuits, hareem pants, jackets and maxi dresses. Love it!

Its been a sad day around the world. Last night Michael Jackson passed away as the result of a heart attack.  The cause of the heart attack is still unknown. Michael was  just 50 years old. Im still in complete shock .

Michael was one of the greatest musicians of all time and he was also a style icon. It just feels really wierd not having Michael Jackson around anymore. For anyone born in the 70's or 80's  Michael Jackson defined those years with his music.

Michael was  scheduled  to start his   “This Is It” tour on July 13, 2009 at the London O2 Arena. I never got the chance to see the King of Pop live and now I will never have that opportunity

RIP. Michael Jackson 1958-2009.

A year ago I didn't know who Danny Schwarz was. Now he is the 8th most in demand model in the world and he's British too!!! Hailing from Croydon ( the Hometown of Kate Moss) Danny has booked  campaigns for D&G and Calvin Klein. He was even in the Calvin Klein ad that was deemed too sexy for TV.

The preview for Vogues September issue documentary has finally been released. The documentary focuses on the artistic production that went in to creating Vogues September 2007 issue, it was the largest Issue of a magazine ever created.

From watching the trailer its evident that Anna lives up to her reputation of being the most powerful woman in fashion. In the documentary shes  described as ” the single most important person in the 300 billion dollar fashion industry”. Thakoon even describes her as being “like Madonna”. I especially love how witty she is. She refers to a font as  being ” large and pretentious, it  looks like its for blind people”. Her influence  is so respected that she even advises Oscar de la Renta about what  looks he should  have on the runway.
 American Vogue  Editor at large, Andre Leon Talley  also adds to the drama. In one scene he can be seen lamenting about ” the famine of beauty, its a famine of beauty”. Overall the documentary  gives a  in depth look at how Anna’s team creates  the most renowned fashion publication on earth.

British Model of the year Jourdan Dunn is in the new Autumn Winter 2009 campaign for Calvin Klein. She stars alongside current I-d Covergirl Sigrid Agren. The ad kind of reminds me of the Spring Summer 2009 campaign for D Squared featuring Naomi Campbell & Linda Evangelista.

The last time i blogged bout Roksanda Ilincic she had teamed up with Gareth Pugh and was creating a limited edition line of Barbies. Now she has returned to  creating  breathtaking collections

London based designer Roksanda Ilincic has truly outdone herself  for her 2010 resort collection. Its so chic and sophisticated.

Scary, Creepy, Confused! these are all words that pop in my head when I think of Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 Menswear Presentation video. I heard a while back that McQueen would be doing a video presentation for his Spring Summer collection. However after watching the video im a bit lost. The video doesnt feature much clothes. It  just features a half naked boy running down a corridor wearing a pair of tighty whities. In another split screen he is playing with pieces of wood and in another he assumes the fetal position while drawing on his body with a marker.

After watching the video I have no idea what his collection is like. I guess only the future wlll tell.

These images are from Neil Barrett's  Spring Summer 2010 collection. The show confirmed  a trend that I had noticed in the menswear hows in Milan.
Sleeves are so passe in Spring Summer 2010.
I swear in every menswear show i see  lots of sleeveless shirts. It seems arms are the big trend of 2010 menswear. It might be too late to get  nice toned set of guns for this Summer but there is still enough time to beef up by 2010. So before it gets too late I so need to hire a personal trainer!!!

As well as featuring lots of sleeveless shirts the Neil Barrett S/S 2010  collection had a very masculine feel with long shirts. Black white and earth tones were the main colours in the collection. The whole collection seems inspired by fencing from the cuts of the jackets to the knee  length pants. They are reminescent of fencing breeches and jackets.

The Burberry Spring Summer 2010 menswear show just took place in Milan. Christopher Bailey has gone for a very functional collection. Lots of pale blues, beige's and yellows. In this collection Christopher  Bailey also used lots  of straps hanging around the waistline . I like the collection but I am not a hundred percent sold on the straps trend as I cant imagine it on any guy that isn't thin or doesn't look like a supermodel.On another note I really do like the vintage style chelsea boots and coats.

When I went to the River Island Press day I asked them to define the River Island man. They told me that River Island caters to various men and that they try to cater to the personal style of all men so they couldn't define the ir customers as conforming to a specific style aesthetic.  If I had to describe a River Island man in one word I would say 'dapper'. Looking at this lookbook  its easy to forget that River Island is a high street store. Definitely my favourite High street menswear collection  for Autumn Winter 2009.
