If you ever find yourself at a loss for a chat-up line, you can't go wrong complimenting a girl's fashion sense. It certainly seems to have worked for Russell Brand, who's romance with fiancé and "California Gurls" singer Katy Perry all started with an Alexander McQueen bracelet.
In Brand's sequel to autobiography My Booky Wook, the British comedian recounts the moment he fell for Perry when he complemented her bracelet at the MTV Video Music Awards.
"It is an Alexander McQueen bangle, a simple hoop with two skulls facing each other at the ends. Wordlessly she smiles, removes it and places it on my wrist, gently handcuffing me. 'It's okay. Keep it. To remind you of me.'…I look at her and it makes me feel still. Then, looking into her eyes, quietly I say: 'I don't need anything to remind me of you.' That is how I fell in love. Throughout (the VMAs) I carried the bracelet in my pocket. Even though she was there."

As adorable as it is to see a happy stylish couple brought together by fashion, all I can think about is how much I want that bracelet.
