Beatrix Ong is continuing to expand its presence as a global luxury fashion accessories brand. The brand is opening a new flagship boutique in Chelsea, London.

Located at 188 Pavilion Road the boutique is in the centre of fashionable Chelsea. The boutique evokes hints of 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' with it's over-sized front door and interior mirror.

The new flagship boutique carries the Beatrix Ong women's Autumn/Winter 2010 'Conceal/Reveal' collection as well as Ong London, the stylish menswear collection.

 “Pavilion Road is our new flagship boutique in London and is the next step of Beatrix Ong's journey. Elements of the shop have been personally selected to give our customers the feeling of being in our home."

It's hard to believe but Jimmy Choo is turning 15. Yes, its been 15 years since choo-mania struck the world the brand is celebrating their Crystal anniversary by launching a Crystal Collection.  The Crystal Anniversary collection is the first of a series of projects that will  be unveiled during the coming year to celebrate the 15 year heritage of the brand. Within this new Crystal Anniversary collection, the signature jeweled shoes which helped make the brand famous are updated and modernized for a new generation.

“In celebrating our 15 years I wanted to create a modern glamour that stands for the style and imagination of Jimmy Choo. I was inspired by vintage jewellery to add sparkling and luminous details to iconic Jimmy Choo shapes. It was bound to happen sooner or later, a mascara ad has been banned for misleading customers. Georgia May Jagger's new 1-2-3 Looks Mascara from Rimmel claims to give you three different eyelash looks. However, the small print on the ad says that it was “shot with lash inserts”. Lash inserts are just another name for false lashes.

After receiving complaints about the ads, the Advertising Standards Authority has commanded Coty to stop using this ad and had the following to say-
"Because we considered that the use of different length lash inserts applied to the eyelash area was likely to distort the visual representation of the effect achievable from the use of the product alone, we concluded the images in the ad were misleading.”

The ads can still run in the US but both the print and tv spots were banned in the UK.

Dazed & Confused magazine has  an exclusive interview with French DJ's Daft Punk. The musical duo also star on a special 3D cover of the December Issue that was shot by Sharif Hamza. Daft Punk recently did the soundtrack for the movie TRON: LEGACY, which comes out on December 17 and their soundtrack album will be released on the December 6.

British fashion icon, Daphne Guiness is on the cover of issue #29 of Zoo Magazine looking absolutely fierce. The cover was shot by photographer Bryan Adams ( yep, Bryan Adams the singer is also a photographer).
 

In the past 10 years its become common place for celebrities to launch their own fragrances. You are practically no one if you don't have a namesake perfume. Well now Anna Dello Russo, Japanese Vogue's editor at large has become the first Fashion Editor to release a perfume. The perfume is aptly named "The Scent of Anna Dello Russo" and comes in a golden shoe shaped bottle. What will be next? Anna Wintour the fragrance or maybe Alexandra Shulman Eau de Parfum?

In the video Anna Dello Russo wears dresses by Emilio Pucci and Roberto Cavalli and prances around her Italian apartment like Cinderella while Kanye West new single Runways plays in the background. She also wears a Swarovski choker and bracelet that were previously worn by Lady Gaga.

It’s no secret that I have always been Team Minogue in the Epic fashion battle between Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue ( I love Cheryl but I love Dannii even more). Dannii is the cover girl for Marie Claire's January 2011 Issue. On the cover, the X Factor judge wears a gold dress from Victoria Beckham's Autumn 2010 dress collection. I’m glad to see Dannii looking absolutely stunning. Surprisingly, she isn’t wearing any of her Project D collection in the accompanying editorial.

 

Helena Christensen must be rolling in money from her endorsement deals. She,s fronted campaigns that range from Agent Provocateur to being the face of W Hotels, She has even done ads for Ariel Washing powder! Now she is the face of Baileys Irish Cream and allowed Baileys to come into her home and photograph her with her friends. '

On being involved in the latest Baileys campaign Helena said: ‘My most memorable moments are often when I’m with friends because everyone is completely at ease, which makes the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. This is what the new Baileys® campaign holds at its very heart, encouraging close friends to enjoy time together more often and I’m thrilled that Baileys® joined me and my friends at home in New York for the day.”

Only the future will reveal what product Helena will endorse next, but she's probably smiling on her way to the bank.

Victoria's Secret show got the  some of the world's most famous supermodels to (badly) lip synch Katy Perry's catchy new single, fireworks. The video acts as a promo for the telecast which airs next week and features Victoria's Secret Angels' Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Lindsey Ellingson, Chanel Iman, and British supermodel and Transformers Star, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley having a blast while lip synching the song. Don't get me wrong, the lip synching is absolutely horrendous but it’s hard to resist beautiful lingerie models even if their lip-synching is worse than Milli Vanilli and Ashley Simpson combined. I just saw the new Beatrix Ong Autumn/Winter 2010 video.  The amazing video features World Pole Dancing Champion, Elena Gibson in her studio, uncovering some of Beatrix Ong's key styles of the season. The short film is titled Conceal/Reveal. I was also  shocked when I discovered that director Mark Jubber, shot and edited the Autumn/Winter 2010 Beatrix Ong campaign film entirely on the iPhone 4. Personally I'm a Blackberry guy  but this video really is breathtaking and takes on an ethereal quality.  Who would have thought that a pole dancer could be so serene and classy?

Here's the cover story from Hero issue 4. Alessandro Dal Buoni shot the cover and the shoot was styled by Andrew Davis . Luka recently opened and closed the Prada SS11 show in Milan. This was shot in London and features SS11 Prada, Calvin Klein, Burberry, Roberto Cavalli, Jill Sander and the amazing new London designer Martine Rose.

For those who live in London, navigating Oxford Circus at peak hours is at best a chore and at worst a stressful, chaotic battle against tourists and grumpy business people. Tomorrow, the battle will rage against fashionistas and Lanvin fanatics as H&M opens its doors to their latest designer collaboration, Lanvin Hearts H&M. And if the launch is anything like the New York Fifth Avenue launch last Saturday, commuters had best call in sick.

The highly anticipated collection drew hundreds of shoppers to the New York flagship store, where some allegedly waited thirteen hours to get into the store and others spent close to $3,000 in an attempt to get every women's piece, according to The Cut. Fortunately for us, the action could be followed from a safe distance on Twitter, as fashion bloggers madly tweeted from the queue and twitpic'ed celebrity attendees such as Leigh Lazark, who apparantly waited patiently in the queue just like everybody else. 

Indeed, the collection is so highly coveted that pieces have already hit eBay at huge markups. Thirteen hours, potential danger at the hands of crazed fashionistas and $3,000 later, wouldn't you rather just buy real Lanvin? Will you be queueing up at Regent Street tomorrow?

Earlier this week  we posted the pictures from the Myla 10th anniversary party. The party also served as the first public appearance for the Myla Model Search winner, Ella Woodward.  Ella was chosen out of hundreds girl who participated in Myla's nationwide  model search (in conjunction with Next Model Management). She will appear in the brands  A/W 11 campaign. Past Myla campaign girls have included the likes of Lydia Hearst.

Naomi Campbell has made her fortune modelling clothes and now she's trying her hand at modelling luxury apartments. Naomi stars in a minute long ad for her boyfriend, 's apartments in Moscow. Is there anything she cant sel? In 2007 she even did an ad for Dunkin Donuts.

The folks over at Fashionista have revealed that Katie Grand has chosen teen singing sensation, Justin Bieber as the cover star of the next issue of Love Magazine. Love Magazine has succumbed to Bieber Fever. Given that all of the past issues of Love magazine have featured a naked or near naked cover star. Does this mean we will see a half naked Justin Bieber on the next cover of Love magazine?? Possibly yes.. but hopefully no.

British male model, David Gandy is once again the face of Dolce & Gabanna's campaign. Yes, Stefano Gabanna and Domenico Dolce obviously are big supporters of David Gandy as I can't even count the number of campaigns David has done for the brand.  He's joined by an ensemble cast that includes veteran male model, Tony Ward  and Simon Nessman.

London’s biggest shopping centre is Westfields is at the centre of an advertising controversy. Dutch retailer, Suits Supply  have come under scrutiny for their sexually explicit ads that are on show at the Shopping Centre. The ad campaign is aptly titled, "Shameless" and was shot by Carli Hermes. The photographer describes them as ‘carefully designed and artistic’. One ad features a man lifting up a woman's skirt, while another shows a man leaning a woman over a table in an overtly sexual manner. The campaign has caused uproar and shoppers have complained that it is not suitable for a mall that is frequented by children. Even  bloggers have taken to the blogosphere to complain about the ad campaign.

The ads have also been banned on Facebook. A spokesman for Suits Supply’s stated that ‘Facebook’s reaction is really American; strictly by the rules and especially safe.’

My take on the matter is that the ad campaign would be perfectly fine if it was hidden away in the pages of a Men's magazine like GQ or Arena Homme. However, in shopping centre it will get seen by numerous children and its target market is obviously adult men and the ad is completely inappropriate for younger shoppers.
