Burberry is the one show at London Fashion Week that everyone was waiting for. Christopher Bailey didn’t disappoint. For his Spring 2011 collection, the designer brought back the military trend but reinterpreted it to include aviator jackets, and military inspired coats with leather finishes. The show had one mishap, Burberry campaign girl, Emma Porter literally fell flat on the floor as she was closing the show. However, she got up and finished her catwalk. Its not about falling its about getting back up.
Transformers actress, Rosie Huntington Whiteley is part of an all British ensemble cast for the new AW2010 Burberry campaign. Rosie Huntington Whiteley is cast alongside actor Douglas Booth, musicians Gwilym Gold, Rory Cottam, Samuel Fry, Seb Brice, and models Nina Porter, Sam Rollinson, Charlotte Wiggins, Caspar Smyth, and Thomas Penfound. The brand has gone back to using models after it used actress, Emma Watson for its last two campaigns. The campaign was shot by photographer, Mario Testino. In addition to photographs the campaign also feature interactive online videos where the user will be given choices that influence how they view the product.
Burberry has always been at the forefront of technology, being one of the first brands to stream heir show online and the first to make their show available in 3d. Now they are the first brand to make their new campaign interactive and it will serve as an extension of their runway show.

Another video from Emma Watson's Spring Summer 2010 Burberry campaign has emerged. I am big fan of Emma Watson because shes one of very few young female stars who aren't totally off the rails crazy. She's also using her style icon status appropriately. I really respect the fact that she hasn't brought out a clothing line as I am tiring of celeb clothing lines. Especially when we all know that they usually have very little to do with design process. Instead she has aligned herself with the most quintessential British Brand. Its a match made in style heaven. I think its time that the gods of fashion (Anna Wintour, Alexandra Shulman, Franco Sozzani and Carine Roitfeld) should give Emma her first Vogue cover.
Behind the scenes of the Burberry Spring Summer 2010 shoot
I have previously shown you a sneak preview of the Burberry Spring Summer 2010 Campaign. This time I have received pictures of the Burberry Campaign straight from the horses mouth. The wonderful people over at Burberry have sent me over the full campaign. It was styled by Christopher Bailey and photographed by Mario Testino. The campaign features an all British cast and actress Emma Watson is joined by four British guys; Emma's younger brother Alex Watson, Matt Gilmour, Max Hurd and George Craig.
The images below express the brand's three collections: Burberry Prorsum, Burberry London, and Burberry Brit.
''This campaign celebrates our heritage and our timeless Burberry icons. The energy of the images and the dynamic cast reflect the different attitudes and expressions of the Burberry guy and girl.
We always talk about how much fun we have making these images and I wanted to capture some of the excitement that you feel on set when all these different creative attitudes and personalities come together. Mario has shot these as both stills and video so we can share some of that energy with a wider audience”. - Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer
