CONVERSE REMIXES ‘DIDN’T KNOW WHAT LOVE WAS’

Following the recent release of the original new track ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’, a musical collaboration featuring Bernard Sumner from Bad Lieutenant, New Order and Joy Division, Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and Hot City, Converse released a short film featuring Hot City in addition to an original new remix by the duo of the ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’ track. The film is the third and final installment in a series of three being distributed alongside the new track and featuring each of the outstanding musicians involved.

Two of the  British acts featured in the campaign, Hudson Mohawke and Chew Lips, have both created their own unique remixes of the track ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’. The Hudson Mohawke Remix is available exclusively at JD Sports and Chew Lips Remix is available exclusively at Schuh.

Today Converse releases a short film featuring  Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard of Hot Chip. This follows the release on October 6th of the original track ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’, a musical collaboration featuring Bernard Sumner from Bad Lieutenant, New Order and Joy Division, Alexis and Joe (Hot Chip) and Hot City.

This is all part of Converse’s year-long campaign, launched with the release of the track that celebrates the UK music scene and continues the iconic footwear brand’s commitment as a catalyst for freedom of expression and underlining its longstanding connection with music. A second track, featuring legendary musician Graham Coxon, Paloma Faith and Bill Rider Jones, formerly of the Coral, will be released next January. ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’ is available now for music fans globally to download at www.converse.co.uk and authorized Converse websites around the world.

This week Converse released “Didn’t Know What Love Was” an original music collaboration between Bernard Sumner from New Order and Joy Division, Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard of Hot Chip and Hot City. Music fans can download the track for free at www.converse.co.uk.

Didn’t Know What Love Was” is the first of two original music collaborations being released by Converse. In January, Converse will be releasing a second original track. This single will feature legendary artist Graham Coxon, Paloma Faith and Bill Rider Jones formerly of the Coral, bringing a fusion of genres to highlight the broad spectrum of talent and diversity within the independent UK music scene.

On October 6th, Converse will release the first of two original musical collaborations featuring Bernard Sumner from Bad Lieutenant, New Order and Joy Division, Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and Hot City, followed by the release of the accompanying music video on November 2nd. The second track, featuring legendary musician Graham Coxon of Blur, Paloma Faith and Bill Rider Jones, formerly of the Coral, will be released next January.
