For Autumn Winter 2010, French Connection mens is going back to a classic colour palette of brown, camel, beige, grey and black. The collection also includes plaid shirts and lots of chucky knits, which are a major trend this season.
More photos of the French Connection Mens collection are after the jump.
The French Connection Autumn Winter 2010 2011 ad campaign was released this past week. This season they have gone for a simple campaign where the clothes are the stars of the ads. I am not sure who the model or the photographer of the campaign is. If anyone knows send an email to info@beautyconfessional.net or post in the comments. A preview of the French Connection Autumn Winter 2010 2011 menswear collection will be posted soon.
Men have lost the ungentle art of manliness. The man in the street doesn’t know what to bring to a knife fight. He gets nervous around large fish. He can’t tie a full Windsor. Men have forgotten how to snap a bra open with a click of their fingers – women are undoing their own bras to save time! Meanwhile guys are eating little portions of leaves and putting too much gel in their hair. They are wearing t-shirts with dope leaves and robots on them when they are over 22 years-old. – French Connection Manifesto
The French Connection SS2010 campaign is one of the brands strongest for many season. The campaign is titled “This is the Man”. “The Man” embodies a classic, tough, handsome and intelligent persona. I particularly like the image below and I its one of my favourites ads this season. its the right mixture of machismo and simplicity.
I have seen some shots from the lookbooks and the clothes are just as amazing as the ads so stay tuned as we will soon post images from the French Connection menswear and womenswear lookbooks.
French Connection has just launched their Spring Summer 2010 campaign and we have got the exclusive photos for you. I'm loving the the new campaign. Fror SS2010 French Connection has relied soloely upon what made the brand is famous – the clothes.
The French Connection Woman is feminine, nonchalant, sassy and chic. The shots are beautifully simple and really focus on the product, while French Connection’s trademark touch of subtle humour is stamped on the images with witty irreverent captions in ‘Franglais’ – English with a cheeky French twist.
I visited Oxford Street today on my to the Launch of Gant's new store and I saw the new changes to the French Connection flagship store. The Oxford Street flagship has been transformed this week to showcase French Connections Spring Summer 2010 campaign. I have to say for a while I hadn't really been impressed by French Connection but over the past 3 seasons the brand has seemed to get stronger and stronger and i like the direction that they are moving in.
The images on the campaign are just a preview of whats to come but I love how they used the Bunny ears silhouette that Marc Jacobs popularized. Its very fashion forward.
The images for the campaign are very simple but carry a strong message. The focus of the campaign is the concept of what it means to be ‘The Man’ (classic, tough, handsome, intelligent) and ‘The Woman’ (feminine, nonchalant, sassy, chic).
I can't say much but French Connection will be starting off their Spring Summer 2010 campaign with a huge bang, so make sure you stay tuned.
Hi girls and guys, as promised here are some images that were shot for the Beauty Confessional by photographer Christian Trampenau. The model for the shoot was me (Paula) and the editorial features dresses and shoes from French Connection's 80s inspired Autumn Winter 09-10 collection. We also threw in some tights from H&M's divided collection and gloves from River Island to give a bit of an 'edge' to the look. Special thanks to Tobie from French Connection.
Bex Dress and Sam Shoe Boot from French Connection, tights from H&M divided
Spirit Dress from French Connection Gloves from River Island.
Ann Dress from French Connection and Gina Boot also from French Connection
The whole French Connection Autumn Winter 2009 campaign has been released online. The image above was released a few weeks ago and now all of the images have leaked onto the net. The campaign was shot by Terry Rcihardson and features the latest Celeb-offspring/turned models, Alexandra and Theodora Richards, the daughters of Keith Richards (the Rolling Stones) and Patti Hansen.
While I thought the last campaign was genius I am not as keen on this one becuase I'm getting a bit tired of celebrities kids doing campaigns. However it doesnt change the fact that, I'm loving the clothes in this campaign, especially the metallic gold dress. A girl can never have too much sparkle in her wardrobe.
French Connection will be casting for their 2010 French Connection Denim campaign shoot in their new James Street store from Tuesday 16th to Sunday 19th September (Wed to Fri 2pm – 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 12pm – 5pm) . So visit the store if you'd like the chance to feature in their next campaign.
French Connection is pleased to announce the launch of their new concept denim store in the heart of London’s Covent Garden. The unique concept store has been specially designed to showcase the denim diffusion range created by French Connection’s in-house design team along with the most directional casual wear pieces from the ladies main range. The store is set to launch on 15th September 2009 at 11 James Street, Covent Garden, London WC2.
The denim diffusion range pays special attention to cut and fit. Inkeeping with this seasons trends the line features oversized T-shirts adorned with abstract and playful prints and check shirts with eclectic mixed buttons.

Autumn Winter 2009 – 2010 sees FCUK introduce a capsule denim range for men and women. The range features streetwear and focuses on authentic denims and easy casual pieces with a distinctive fashion twist.
To showcase the new collection and its free-spirited attitude, a team were streetcast from creative hotspots around the UK. Inkeeping with the British street style theme the campaign was shot in the Centre of London street style, Brick Lane.
The shoot brings together youths from all walks of life – from tattoo artists to students, to film makers, musicians and dancers . The line symbolizes style and inviduality.

Yesterday I promised to show more of the French Connection Autumn Winter 2009 collection. I posted images of the French Connection Autumn Winter menswear collection. Today It's the ladies turn. The collection features monochromatic colour, lots of black and white, skinny, leather/latex pants, sequins and embellished shoulders. I'm loving the strappy heels combined with the skinny pants.
The collection will soon be available in French Connection Stores. More images after the jump.
Summer isn't even over and already the high street brands are releasing their lookbooks. So far we have seen the collections from Topshop and River Island. Now French Connection (FCUK) has revealed their latest collection. Its full of classic chunky knits in earthy colours, Plaid shirts. French Connection is known for their edgy looks, this collection has a slightly preppier aesthetic.
My favourite look in the collection is the above image. The grey sweater, the lighter under shirt and black trousers are teamed with a pair of brown Oxfords that create a sophisticated look. The looks should hit stores very soon.
Check back tomorrow as the women's collection will be previewed.
French Connection is best known for their controversial FCUK T-shirts. However, it is one of the British brands that doesn't get as much attention for the rest of its clothes (infact ive never mentioned it on this blog before). I was kind of surprised ( in a good way) when i saw the recent FCUK campaign.
The Spring/Summer 09 campaign stars models Tyson Ballou, Taylor Fuchs, Danijela Dimitrovska and another model and was shot by Terry Richardson.
I am quite impressed when I see a high street ad campaign that isn't your run of the mill picture of a "Pretty girl with "Ken Doll lookalike guy". I like French Connection (FCUK)S/S09 campaign because it is original. Check out the shot below with Danijela stepping on Tyson. The clothes are also nice lots of grey, beige and brown coupled with bright cerulean and turquoise.
