For the past 2 years H&M has run their Fashion Against Aids campaign. Now they have released this years campaign that features a mostly British cast, made up of Elizabeth Jagger, Josh Beech and Lou Doillon ( the daughter of Jane Birkin for whom Hermes’ Birkin bag is named after).

This year H&M is launching their first festival collection.The collection will be released on May 20 and 25% of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects to promote safer sex. The collection will be available at H&M Divided departments.  The range is bohemian inspired and features a variety of silhouettes including maxi dresses, denim dresses, cropped shorts and drummer boy jackets.

Pull and Bear has used Sam Way in their last 3 campaigns, now the brand has  switched to another Brit for their christmas 2009 -2010 campaign. They have" chosen Josh Beech as the face of the collection. The  Creative Director for the  ad was Liam Gleeson and it was styled by Alberto Murta. No word yet on who the female model is, I've searched high and low but I can't find her. I love the part where the are jumping in the air and spinning around, it reminds me of ice skating … but without the hideous outfits skaters where.

 I love the use of  shimming fabrics and sequins in the collection and the  headbands give the collection a bit of 40's nostalgia.

I usually get emails asking what the music is in campaigns. So in case you were wondering, the song playing during the ad is "My Angel Rocks Back and Forth" by Four Tet.

If you read this blog regularly you will know that I wasnt very  happy with the model category at the British Fashion Awards. Ive always thought the category should be split in two and an award given for the best  fmeale model as well as the best male model. I got some help from the people  over at ModelHommes and came up with the following list of British Male models that were big in 2009. We've narrowed it down to 9 for you to chooose from. They are (from left to right), David Gandy, Jeremy Young, Danny Scwharz, Jamie Dornan, Josh Beech, Sam Way, Eddie Tucker, Ollie Edwards and Max Rogers.

I have to say Arena Homme is probably one of the world's best man's fashion mag's. They recently did a photo spread called "The Life of a Boy Model". The spread was shot by photographer  Alasdair McLellan and features an ensemble cast of British male models including George Barnett, Cole Mohr, Ash Stymest, Josh Beech and Luke Worall. From looking at the spread it would seem that Life of a Boy model includes  getting a bad-ass haircut and  regular visits to the local tatoo parlor.  The modelling industry has really changed. In the 90's and 80's having a tatoo was like career suicide nowadays lots of the modelling industry's most in demand guys have  lots of ink.
