British fashion designer, John Galliano has been fired by fashion house Dior after alleged anti-Semitic comments he made last week.

Apparently Dior dismissed him after seeing a video clip allegedly showing Galliano telling two women in a Paris cafe: "I love Hitler." Footage has also emerged online allegedly showing Galliano saying "People like you would be dead today - your mothers, your forefathers would be gassed."

Already Dior's chief executive Sidney Toledano and Oscar-winning actress and face of Miss Dior Cherie perfume, Natalie Portman have released statements condemning Galliano’s actions.

When asked about the situation Natalie stated “In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr Galliano in any way,"

So with the current news about Kate Moss wanting her friend Galliano to design her wedding dress all over the web we have to ask is this going to happen? We will have to wait and see if Kate “stands by her man”
 

According to today’s Times newspaper, Fashion Icon Kate Moss has named John Galliano as the designer of her wedding dress while at a recent dinner hosted by Topshop.  Kate will be “tying the knot” with Jamie Hince of the Rock band, The Kills in July this year.
How exciting! I can’t wait to see what she ends up wearing on the big day.
 

I remember sitting down with my photographer/friend, Gene Keigel and discussing the future of fashion photography. He said that video would be used more frequently used . Well, he was most definitely correct as Balmain has released a special video via Nowness. Kate Moss is the star of a 3 minute long, behind the scenes video for Balmain. Kate Moss writhes around to the sounds of Everglade by Antony and the Johnsons. The video is behind the scenes footage of Kate Moss' AW 2010 Balmain campaign which was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. While Kate changes her pose her hair changes colour and animations by Jo Ratcliffe are displayed on screen. It’s a great way to spend the next 3 minutes of your life.

The campaign for Kate Moss' last mainline Topshop collection is out now. The collection is available at Topshop stores and online and prices start  at £12 and go up to £250.

Topshop has just released a preview video of the latest Kate Moss for Topshop collection. The video was filmed by Nick Knight, and showcases her Autumn/Winter 2010-11 collection. In the video, Kate is seen dressing up in her collection alongside models Adwoa Aboah, Cara Delvigne, Genevieve Garner, Rosalyn Holman and Jessica Horton. The collection includes vintage dresses, floral prints and feather embellishments.
The collection will be available online and in stores from November 2nd, 2010.

Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Lady Gaga  are on the  cover of the pre-fall issue of i-D magazine. It's been reported that the three were initially supposed to share a cover of the magazine but "Naomi and Kate refused to play second fiddle to Gaga" and the magazine decided to shoot appease the two supermodels and shoot 3 separate covers. All three women were shot by  Nick Knight.

Kate Moss has landed her 6th September cover of British Vogue and her 30th cover of British Vogue. Kate Moss previously cover  British Vogues September issue in 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009 .

No doubt this wont be Kate’s last September cover. She’s definitely got selling power so its no doubt British Vogue put her on the cover.As the old saying goes, ” If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. The cover was shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

London Fashion Update: Last Night was the Launch of the  Mario Testin Exhibition, Kate Who? Its a retrospective on Kate Moss' work with Mario Testino over the past 2 decades.  The exhibition runs at the Phillips de Pury gallery in London until July 15th.

As we discovered, earlier this year, Mario Testino will also be releasing a coffee table book called,'Kate Moss by Mario Testino'.

The London Eye is celebrating its 10th Anniversary  by  inviting 10 celebrities to design prints of the attraction, Henry Holland and Kate Moss are are among the celebs who  have created sketches. Kate Moss has sketched the skyline of London while Henry Holland has recreated the giant wheel using his House of Holland Logo.  Prints of their drawings will be available for £5.00 at the London Eye.

There is no doubt that  Kate Moss is the queen of Vogue. Three months doesn’t go by without her covering one of the international editions of Vogue. Next month is no different as  she stars on the cover of Vogue Paris, shot by Mario Sorrenti. 

The most photographed woman on earth, Kate Moss has released the latest video of her collaboration with Topshop. For Spring Summer 2010 Kate Moss, is going for a very Boho Chic look as she frolics around in her new Topshop collection. The video was shot by photographer Nick Knight, who has shot Kate on numerous occasions.

Kate Moss for Topshop goes on sale tommorow,  May 20th 2010.

Everyone loves a good ol’ coffee table book full of pictures. The question is “How much would you pay  for one”…How about 400 pounds? Well that question will be answered soon as Kate Moss and Mario Testino are collaborating on a limited edition photographic book. The  128 page book is titled  ‘Kate Moss by Mario Testino’  and will retail at about £400 . The book will  released by Tachen this Summer and only 1,500  signed copies will be printed.

 
Sticking on the topic of Coffee Table Books, Photographer Dean Stockings has released a book called Sofa So Naked. Its a series of a nudes shot from a cross-section of the whole community – male, female, young and old (the youngest model is a few weeks and the oldest is 87 years old).  Each model appears naked on their own sofa, in their own home, with just one prop of their choice. The books sells  for £34.95 and is available by clicking here . So if £400 pounds is slightly outside of your price range then this book might just be perfect for you.

Kate Moss has landed her 29th cover of British Vogue. This continues the magazine's obsession with the supermodel that has spanned the past 17 years. The cover was shot by WIlly Vanderperre and Kate wears Prada on the cover.

Originally we showed you the nude covers of  Love Magazine issue 3 featuring  Lara Stone and Jeneil Williams.  Now love Magazine  has released all 8 of the covers of Love Magazine. They feature Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy, Natalia Vodianova, Kristen McMenamy, and Amber Valletta.

While I have to admit that I think the models look amazing on the covers, I am a bit confused by these covers as I thought fashion mags  were about selling clothes and their don't appear to be much any clothes in these shots. Ironically, issue 1 of Love Magazine also  featured a nude Beth Ditto on the cover.

I swear Kate Moss  must have to beat designers off with a stick. Every season she gets so many campaigns and Spring Summer 2010 is looking to be business as usual. She stars alongside Karl Lagerfeld's man candy, Baptiste Giabiconi.  This marks consecutive seasons that Kate Moss has been the face of Just Cavalli.

Topshop   has chosen to go for a shabby chic look for their Autumn Winter 2009 2010 collection. They have paired  glamorous faux fur coats with tights that have runs in them.  The collection ranges from £45 to £150 and includes slinky dresses, pencil skirts, strapless dresses, jumpsuits, chiffon kaftans. Some of the pieces also include studs,  one of this seasons biggest trends.

The covers of AnOther magazine usually go beyond fashion. They bridge the gap between Fashion and Art.  I remember there alternate covers that featured Tilda Swinton on the cover. Both covers looked like unique works of art.

AnOther magazine has struck gold again. For Autumn/ Winter 2009 their are 4 covers of the magazine/ They feature  Kate Moss in Galliano, Vanessa Paradis in Chanel, Natalie Portman in Chanel & Katie Holmes in Alaia. THe covers all have the byline "Celebrating a decade in fashion"
