Roy Pratt, Kendra Spears and AJ Abualrab are featured in the cover editorial of Dazed & Confused July 09.  The three models play members of the fictiona l gang "Black Crow- A group of rebels swathed in fur and feathers". The striking shoot  was lensed by photographer Mariano Vivanco and styled by stylist extraordinaire, Nicola Formichetti.

Claudia Schiffer is on the April 2009 cover of British Vogue wearing a metallic Gold Versace dress. I have to say , its not  a great cover but the editorial with her in the magazine is brilliant. IN the editorial Claudia wears a Hermes Poncho, a little black dre by Louis Vuitton and Balmain Jeans, a military jacket and a Loewe cap. The cap is similar to the one that Victoria Beckham wore on the February 2009 cover of Russian Vogue.

Can you taste fashion? Well soon you will be able to thanks to photographer Massimo Gammacurta. Massimo has  designed several fashion lollipops that features the logos of fashion  labels such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent.The lollipops are available  the following flavours: watermelon, pomegranate, wild cherry, apple and caramel. 

Now thats what I  call edible fashion….LITERALLY!!!

With the credit crisis in full drive designers have to think of new ways to market their collections tht will get lots of attention and hopefully sales. Recently Madonna did a very sexy shoot for Louis Vuitton. Max Azaria has also chosen a celebrity for the ads for his Spring Summer campaign. He could have chosen a famous singer  but instead the collection has used an athlete. That athlete is none other than Olympic gymnastics gold medalist, Nastia Liukin. Nastia just has a an ethereal sylph like quality  and I think she perfectly captures the essence of the Max Azaria collection. The ad will run solely online.

British  style magazine, Dazed & Confused has dedicated  January, to British Youth. They asked their readers “What does it mean to you to be young and British today?”  They received over 400 submissions in 10 days. In the Youth Issue, they present 30 of the best stories written by young, British teenagers.

Fashion photographer, Hedi Slimane shot a 34 page fashion editorial for the magazine. The issue has two covers one featuring a girl named Jessie and the other featuring Louis Simonon. Louis is the son of Paul Simonon from punk band, The Clash. He also recently appeared in a campaign for Prada that was also shot by Hedi Slimane.

If I see him in another magazine or campaign I'll have to give him his own category on this blog.

The LVMH  Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy jewellery brand, Fred has chosen Kate Moss for their new ad campaign. She will star along  French actor Melvil Poupaud. The campaign was shot by Patrick Demarchelier . Kate Moss replaces French actress  Audrey Marnay. Audrey did the company’s campaign last year. In an interview with WWD a representative  from the company explained why Kate Moss has replaced Audrey-

“We needed a more international icon that would resonate across all our markets, in particular Asia,”

Photographer, Hedi Slimane has shot  Louis and Claude Simonon (sons of Paul  Simonon, the bass player of English punk band The Clash)  for Prada's menswear campaign. This  is part of a a growing trend of designers using celebs and socialite models to front their brands.

 Ever since Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director, Marc Jacobs  has lost weight and toned up he  is not afraid to  show off his new bod. 

Marc Jacobs is bringing back Stephen Sprouse’s Graffiti print back to Louis Vuitton . As part of a tribute to Sprouse  Louis Vuitton will be releasing special tribute items to honour the late designer. These tribute pieces feature Stephen Sprouse’s motifs- the graffiti and the rose . These motifs are  superimposed  on the  classic monogram print.

In the January 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazzar, Marc is completely nude and holding a sprouse tribute bag .

“I don’t have a problem taking my clothes off, as anybody who has picked up a magazine in the past year could tell you,” Jacobs said. “I had no qualms or shame about it but knew fully well that any full-frontal nudity wouldn’t be appropriate for Harper’s Bazaar.”

A few weeks back I posted about Madonna being chosen for Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2009 Campaign.  Well the images have finally been released and they were waiting for.  Everything about the campaign looks great, The bag , the shoes and most of all Madonna!!! Look at those legs!!

The shoot was shot by Steven Meise lat L.A.'s,Café Figaro. The campaign is scheduled to drop in February of 2009.

British ubermodel, Jourdan Dunn has August in the Vogue Paris 2009 Calendar. The calendar was shot by Terry Richardson and is available in the current issue of Vogue Paris. The models are styled to look like 50's style pin-ups. Jourdan Dunn is a sexy nurse  while other models are styled as kittens, cheerleaders and french maids.

Some of the models in the calendar include – Alana Kuznetsova, Ali Michael, Aline Weber, Anna Maria Jagodzinska, Anna Selezneva, Arlenis Sosa Pena, Eniko Mihalik, Erin Heatherton, Georgina Stojiljkovic, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Jourdan Dunn, Lakshmi Menon and Taryn Davidson.

The lingerie and shoes were designed  by Louis Vuitton and the shoot was styled by Vogue Paris Editor, Carine Roitfeld.

According to online reports, Madonna may be the next Face of Louis Vuitton.The singer has reportedly signed on as the face of the LV's Spring/ Summer 2009 campaign. The campaign is to be  shot by fashion photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Mert & Marcus are the same duo that shot Victoria and David Beckham for their Emporio Armani underwear campaign.

About two weeks ago I posted about Sean connery doing an Ad campaign for Louis Vuitton. Well the first image from that campaign has surfaced online. The shot reminds me of  a high fashion version of Gilligan's Island. Sean Connery is looking great at 78. I am actually shocked at the number of young women that like him. I was on the tube today and overheard two young girls talking about how much they think, " Sean Connery is so dreamy".

The ad was shot by Annie Leibovitz on a dock near Sean Connery's Bahamian home. The ad reads, “There are journeys that turn into legends” and is part of their "Core Values" campaign. Expect it to pop up everywhere in the next few days.

Apparently,  Louis Vitton has been eyeing Sean Connery to be the spokesperson in their ad campaign.

Supposedly, Sean Connery posed for photographer Annie Leibovitz, earlier this month. The ad campaign is scheduled to be released  around the same time as the new James Bond movie. The Quantum of Solace will be released in October.
