I'm really surprised to see Luke Worrall in the SS 2010 New Look campaign. It is a lot edgier than what I would have expected from New Look. Kudos to whoever styled this shoot.  Its got a fun, fresh, youthful vibe.

A few weeks ago rumours popped up online that Taylor Momsen was the new face of New Looks Spring Summer campaign. Now that the menswear ads have been released it wont be long until womens ads are revealed.

Agyness Worrall and Luke Deyn uhh the Deyn Twins??, sorry, I mean Agyness Deyn and Luke Worrall star in the new Uniqlo print ads. Ever since these two models started their careers I have always thought that Luke and Agyness look like brother and sister.  Infact, I  think they look so much alike that I have actually mistaken them for one another . They both have an androgynous quality which adds to why I think they are so similar. I much prefer these Uniqlo images to the previous images that wree released two weeks ago.

I have to say Arena Homme is probably one of the world's best man's fashion mag's. They recently did a photo spread called "The Life of a Boy Model". The spread was shot by photographer  Alasdair McLellan and features an ensemble cast of British male models including George Barnett, Cole Mohr, Ash Stymest, Josh Beech and Luke Worall. From looking at the spread it would seem that Life of a Boy model includes  getting a bad-ass haircut and  regular visits to the local tatoo parlor.  The modelling industry has really changed. In the 90's and 80's having a tatoo was like career suicide nowadays lots of the modelling industry's most in demand guys have  lots of ink.

Brit 'IT' boy Luke Worrall has once again landed the Spring Summer 09 campaign for Izzue .

English fashion designer, Neil Barrett has chosen some of the top male models for his 2009 spring/summer menswear collection.

The portrait series features British Models,  Luke Worrall, Danny Beauchamp, Tom Warren, Alex Gilbert and Eddie Tucker

Also featured are Julien Quévenne, Tyler Riggs, Jesper Lund,Sebastian Lund, Lucien Thomkins, Kevin Sampaio Ferreina, Sean Harju, Kevin Flamme, Thibault Oberlin, Julien Sabaud, Duran Bunch, Vincent Lacrocq, Boris Kolesnikov, Gustav McMahon and Tom Warren.

At Last weeks, British Fashion Awards there was a special award for Best British Model of the year.  This Year Jourdan Dunn took home the award. Now as we all know female models are the stars of the modelling Industry and very few male models ever get nominated for this award and none  has ever won. The only ones I can remember off the the top of my head are Danny Beauchamp and Will Chalker. This made me think – Should there be a category at the British Fashion Awards  for the best British male model? I made up a small list of British male models who would have been possible nominees if this award was ever made.

 Here is my list in random order:

Andrew Cooper – Former I-D cover Model and the face of DKNY and Giorgio Armani

Sam Saffman – He is currently on the cover of GQ style and has also been on the cover of Tetu. He is also in the current ad campaign for Dolce & Gabanna Jewels.

David Gandy – David became a houehold  name in the UK after his Dolce & Gabanna "light Blue ad". He has also done several campaigns for Dolce & Gabanna as well other high profile labels such as CCS and Paul Kehl.

Agyness Deyn's Male Clone , Luke Worrall is the new face of Vivienne Westwood Accessories.  As expected from Vivienne, the ads are quirky and eclectic. Luke Worrall is currently  the 3rd highest ranked British Male model according to Models.com, so it isnt surprising that he booked this job.

On a related note NYmag is reporting that Vivienne Westwood has her eye on Pamela Anderson for her  Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign.
