I have been raving about Angel Jackson for ages now  and I was really pleased to annoucne that they were one  of the nominees for the BFC/ Vogue Fashion fund. These are shots from their Spring Summer collection and once again the bags are beyond gorgeous.  I love the embellishment. I hope Angel Jackson bags the  BFC fashion Fund  and goes supernova. I think Angel Jackson could be as big as Jimmy Choo.

William Baker Presents : Westfield London Style

26 September 2009 3 Comments

Black Skull Boots - McQueen at Larizia Ariana YSL bag

(Arent those the fiercest boots you have ever seen)

This week we visited the "William Baker  presents: Westfield London Style 2009". It was basically a fashion show styled  by personal stylists to the stars and BBoy underwear creator, William Baker. He presented 60 looks for Autumn Winter 2009/2010. The show featured the hottest pair of peep-toe booties I have ever seen (Alexander Mcqueen) and they  were hot (pictured above). The show featured lots of sequins, chunky knits and lace. All of which are very on trend this season.

One interesting  aspect of William Baker's styling was  his choices of underwear as outerwear. In womenswear this trend has been going on for a while however, in menswear I have never noticed it.  WIlliam Baker teamed jackets with  long johns and translated the  trend to menswear. Another trend that WIlliam Baker  borrowed from womens wear was sequins. I like  the Sequin hoodies from Joseph's.

WIlliam Baker said, "Sequins are in this season, even a hint of a sequin on a scarf or belt makes an outfit modern, and on trend. But for me… I love sequins more and more. Wear sequins with sequins and add a statement necklace too". Baker also went for a very 80's  vibe with the styling and I love how he mixed high street clothes with high end designers.

PS. William we love sequins too. the more the merrier!!!! (Click here to see just how much sequins we love)

Sequin jumper sanro

Knit Collar by Pal Zaleri, Suit by Next, Sequined shirt by Sandro ( love the use of  the sequins and the blue  shoes and chain they add a bold statement to the look)

Black jacket tommy hilfiger

Black Jacket by Tommy Hilfiger, Shoes  and shirt by Zara. ( Im not sure where the leggings are from but I love the Top half  of this image. The white under shirt is giving me shades of Karl Lagerfeld)

River island jersey dress

Jersey Dress by River Island, shoes by Carvella ( The studded boots are to die for)

Grey trousers armani exchange waistcoat

Waist-coat and trousers by Armani Exchange, shirt by Next. (Classy)

Purple hooded bodysuit river island

Bboy underwear

Sequined hoodie by Joseph. Pants by Bboy ( First  reaction: "WHAT THE HELL!! second reaction: I never thought I'd be a fan of sequins in menswear  but Im loving  the sequined hoodie and as you know I'm a fan of Bboy underwear. However  before  going outside I'd recommend putting on some trousers, it gets pretty cold in London )

The Body – Jeans by Calvin Klein

06 September 2009 No Comments

Body jeans by Calvin Klein men Body jeans by Calvin Klein
I recently went into a top high street retailer to buy a pair of jeans . Usually i’m a bootcut or straight fit guy. This time I decided to  be  bit adventurous and try on a pair of slim fit jeans (not skinny).  Now, I have quite a small waist  for a guy, it comes in at a  minuscule  27 inches. Girls usually scream in horror ( jealousy) when they find out that my waist is the same size (sometimes smaller) than theirs.

I tried on a pair of 28 inch slim fit jeans. The first leg went in fine the second leg also went in fine but when i tried to pull the pants up, it wasn’t going anywhere. Now Ive never been told I have a big butt but  these pants just weren’t going t go up anymore. I thought to myself maybe , you’ve gained a couple of pounds so i tried on a 30 inch waist pants and the exact same thing happened. I then tried on a 32 inch waist jean and this time I managed to pull up  the jeans..just barely. However, the 32 inch jeans no longer fit  like slim jeans and although  they  got past my derriere, by the time the pants got to my waist they  fit too big around my waist. I was left wearing  a pants that were loose around the leg tight around my butt and loose around my waist…not a good look.

The solution…The body Jeans by Calvin Klein. The slim fit jeans are ‘ergonomically focused” and promise to uplift in all the right areas. Gone are the days of ill  fitting jeans. The jeans come  in the following washes: copper rinse, destructed ore and steel.and retail for £90 at Calvin Klein, 170 Regent Street,

Victoria Beckham Dress Collection Fall 2009 ad campaign

28 August 2009 2 Comments

Last year, I was bemused by the video for The Victoria Beckham dress Collection.Victoria Beckham ran around a  Victorian style house, whimsically hiding behind furniture, the results left us all a bit shocked but we remebered it so I guess it must have been  good. This  falls ad campaign is equally as wierd. The campaign was shot in St Stephens Gardens in Westminister London and features models wearin Victoria Beckham dresses while swinging on the doorstep of Central London Townhouses. It's really strange  but somehow it works.

HERO_LAUNCH_ISSUE_COVER What would you get if you mixed  "Contributing Editor" with "Electric Youth" and added a dash of London attitude and style? You'd get get "HERO"!

"HERO is a London based magazine that debuts the Next Big Thing: the models that will define catwalks and campaigns for seasons to come. Working with some of the industry’s newest and most talented photographers, and with a host of the world’s biggest and best modeling agencies, we have compiled a world-class intimate and iconic introduction to beginnings of something amazing: the Faces of Tomorrow."

On the cover of HERO is Robbie Wadge, photographed by Matthew Kristall. All the models in the mag come complete with superpowers. Don't mess with Robbie or you'll be in trouble with the Caped Crusader, Batman. The  mag also features  up and coming models  Remy Baquiche, Ryan Koning, Ryan Viiperi, Nicolas Boldt and Luuc Brans.  I am not sure if the other  guys  have super powers but I think spelling Luuc with two U's  should classify as a superhero power.
