AussieBum' new bulge enhancing underwear intend to revolutionize men’s underwear in the same way that the WonderBra reinvented the bra. The new AussieBum Wonderjock Pro gives men a lift in the pants department without the use of rings, strings or padding. I just got sent the new promotional pictures for the new underwear and as they say pictures speak louder than words.

This week on September 16th will see the launch of the River Island concession at Selfridges’ Shoe Galleries. High Street favourite River Island have teamed up with Selfridges to create the exclusive River Island for Selfridges collection. The trend driven line will retail  from £50 to £140.

Department store Selfridge's has gotten themselves in a bit of hot water. In their manchester store they have hung a McQueen dress from a metal structure that resembles a gallows. This is quite tasteless given the designers  recent suicide by hanging himself in his Mayfair apartment and as expected members of the public were outraged.

In response to the public outcry Selfridges  have apologized and removed the dress from the display.They issued the following statement- " It was never intended to be linked to his death. This was a genuine mistake and not to cause controversy or upset."

Selfridges subsequently removed the dress from the display and replaced it with one by another designer.

British people come in two categories. Those who are Team Jordan and those who are Team Peter. I think im firmly planted in the Team Peter camp. You can't open a British paper without reading about the celebrity feud between  former husband and wife, Peter Andre and Jordan.

Given Peter's  recent  high profile media presence, there is no better time than now for him to release a fragrance. This week, Peter Andre will be signing his new fragrance ‘Unconditional’ at Selfridges London.

150 special access passes will be issued to customers purchasing the fragrance in Selfridges’ beauty hall on a first come first served basis. The fragrance goes on sale on Thursday 11th February and the  signing takes place on Saturday 13th February 2010 at The Yellow Café, Lower Ground Floor, Selfridges, Oxford Street, London, W1.

Beverely Knight is the queen of British Soul, she has dominated  the british charts  for over  a decade.  Now Beverley is  following in the footsteps of Iman as she launches a line of cosmetics for women with darker skin tones. The makeup collection is called K by Beverley Knight. The line  has 15 products in a  78 different shades.

David Beckham will be at the Emporio Armani Underwear Lounge on the first floor of London's Selfridges store tomorrow to unveil his new Armani Underwear ad campaign.Im sure  people will be out in their droves to  see the football superstar and get a chance to see him in his undies. Last month we saw  his wife, Victoria's new Emporio Armani ad campaign and tomorrow we will see David Beckham's underwear campaign.

Aussiebum rounded up 15 of London's  buffest guys, to help Selfridges celebrate their 100th Birthday.  The evening also featured a celebrity guest appearance from singer Rachel Stevens.

Staying on the subject of men's underwear i was recently reading an article on Huffington Post about relationship  between the economy and the sale of mens underwear. Apparently, if you look in a guy's underwear drawer you can estimate  how bad the recession is. When the state of the economy decreases men buy less underwear. Right now men's underwear sales have stopped going down so maybe its an indicator that the worst of the recession is over.
