The Burberry Spring Summer 2010 menswear show just took place in Milan. Christopher Bailey has gone for a very functional collection. Lots of pale blues, beige's and yellows. In this collection Christopher  Bailey also used lots  of straps hanging around the waistline . I like the collection but I am not a hundred percent sold on the straps trend as I cant imagine it on any guy that isn't thin or doesn't look like a supermodel.On another note I really do like the vintage style chelsea boots and coats.

  Jane Norman

I have always  liked Jane Norman. Its one of the few high street brands that never dissapoints me. These images are from their Spring Summer 09 campaign. It's young, sexy, fun, fresh and very high on femininity. I particularly like the photo above with the blue embellished bust line and the snake print clutch.  Call me bizarre but everytime I see anything from Jane Norman I think of Regina George and the plastics from Mean Girls. They would so wear  Jane Norman.

A few months ago  I heard that Oasis band member, Liam Gallagher would be releasing a  clothing line called Pretty Green. The Pretty Green Spring/Summer 2009 Collection was released last week.
The collection is comprised of shirts, polo necks, hats, scarfs, knitwear and jackets. The collection so far looks very simple. It is made up of plain pieces with  the "Pretty Green" logo on them.  all the pieces can be bought on the brands official website   Pretty Green online store. If I am being honest I have to say that I find this line quite unexciting. I've never been a fan on celebrity clothing lines. some are actually good such as P Diddy's Sean John label and Victoria Beckham's  dress collection but this one for me just seems a little bland. Maybe there will be more exciting pieces revealed later on  but for now I think I'll pass.

Here are the  latest looks from  Kelly Gos's collection. If you are looking for something unique with a bit of edge then Kelly Goss  is a designer you should definitely check out.

Jaeger London

When i think of Jaeger I don’t immediately think of it as something I would wear. My aunt and uncle buy the brand by the  case load, so I usually think of it as appealing to an older demographic.  I just saw the images from the Jaeger London Spring/Summer 2009 lookbook and I am really impressed by the revitalization of the brand. Its got the high end look expected from  the Jaeger name but at the same time there is a youthful feel to the brand.

Last year, Stuart Stockdale came on board as Design Director of Jaeger. He previously revitalized  the image of Pringle of Scotland.  It might be early to say this but I think he can do for Jaeger, what  Christopher Bailey did for Burberry. 

In the nineties Burberry had a negative image in the  public it started to become popular among  football hooligans and chavs. Not really an association that  a Luxury brand wants to have. However, since Christopher Bailey took over as Creative director they have revitalized the brand  and it is once again one of Britains strongest Luxury brands.  I think we are in for a surprise from Jaeger.

Summer is just around the corner and now all of the British High street stores are revealing their Summer ad campaigns. French Connection and Topshop have both  revealed their summer ads.

The images for Next Directory's Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign have been released and its full of swimsuits. There must be like a million pictures of swimsuits. Okay I am exaggerating a little. I cant understand why they have got so many swimsuits becuase  If all woman looked like  Victoria Secret Model, Emanuela de Paula then swimsuits would be worn all the  time. She looks great in a swimsuit so  we can't complain. In addition to the print ads  Next is also running a TV spot featuring Emanuela de Paula and Nathan Boyle.  More of the campaigns images are  below and after the break.

French Connection is best known for their  controversial FCUK T-shirts. However, it is one of the British brands that doesn't get as much attention for  the rest of its clothes (infact ive never mentioned it on this blog before).  I was kind of surprised ( in a good way)  when i saw the recent FCUK  campaign. 

The Spring/Summer 09 campaign stars models Tyson Ballou, Taylor Fuchs,  Danijela Dimitrovska and another model and was shot by Terry Richardson.

 I am quite impressed when I see a high street ad campaign that isn't your run of the mill picture of  a "Pretty girl  with "Ken Doll lookalike guy".  I like French Connection (FCUK)S/S09 campaign because it is original.  Check out the shot below with Danijela stepping on Tyson. The clothes are also nice lots of grey, beige and brown coupled with bright cerulean and turquoise.

Is it just me or does Tyson Ballou look like  the latest member of Karl Lagerfeld's entourage, Baptiste Giabiconi

Karl Slater, designer of the Perfectly Flawed label sent me some new shots of his Spring/Summer 2009 collection. You may remember me mentioning Perfectly Flawed on the blog before, when I featured some shots of his clothes  by photographer Azza. The label started about two years ago and  I am  really  liking the looks for Spring summer 2009.

"This seasons influences are taken from graphic and geometric imagery, glamour, retro sports & 70's styling, keeping in Perfectly Flawed trademark style of using over sized graphics, taking over the whole of the tee not just the front, featuring new colours based around Nike and Adidas new sessions colours, so to be worn perfectly with your favorite kicks."

I think its official now to say that Emanuela De Paula has replaced Alessandro Ambrossio as the face of NEXT Clothing. Last Season i knew Emanuela de Paula took the lead in the ads becuase Alessandro had just given birth . However, now that Alessandro is back in model shape ( she even did the last Victoria Secret Show) NEXT has still chosen Emanuela as the face of their collection. I saw this ad last night and thought id share it with you. I really like Next's ads they are always really good and Emanuela de Paula is probably one of my fave models ( I still don't believe that shes 18 though, 18 years olds are not this hot). The ad also features British Model, Nathan Bogle who plays Emanuela's love interest in the ad.

Brit 'IT' boy Luke Worrall has once again landed the Spring Summer 09 campaign for Izzue .

Ash Stymest, Sam Way and Tyler Riggs have all done campaigns for Topman  and their careers have sky rocketed. Lyle Lodwick, from Red Models  proved that he is on his way to becoming one of the industry's big stars  by landing the Topman SS'09 campaign. Last week, the ad campaign for Topshop's Kate Moss collection  was aslo released online.

 Topshop has definitely gone all out for their campaign for Kate Moss' capsule collection. The Spring Summer 09 campaign for Kate Moss' Topshop range was shot by fashion duo, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot. Lots of vivid streaks of colors create an atmosphere filled with movemen. Its just  a bit over photoshopped  but its still  a great ad.

Earlier today Kate Moss opened the brand new  Topshop store in New York.

Launched in 1997, Kal Kaur Rai is a British High Fashion label . The label has been worn by the likes of Victoria Beckham and Beyonce Knowles both of whom are fashion Icons and trendsetters. The label has also been featured in Elle and Cosmopolitan. Here are the images of their Spring/Summer 09 collection. Its very young, girly and sophisticated with influences of the 60's mod style. The collection is available  online and in 70 independent stores across the UK as well being available from the TOPSHOP flagship store on London's Oxford Street.
