Remi Rebillard sent me this visual tale about melancholy and depression, called the Fragmentary Girl . Its based on the tragic life story of the original Fragmentary Girl, Sylvia Plath.

The model is Greta with Elite , the stylist Don West with the Gerard Agency, and hair and make up is Davide Calcinai with Artist by Timothy Priano.

In the past H.E. by MANGO has used male models to represent their men's fashion brand, their choice of Gerard Piqué is moving towards the strategy adopted by MANGO, which since the beginning has chosen famous faces such as Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson to star in its advertising campaigns.

According to today’s Times newspaper, Fashion Icon Kate Moss has named John Galliano as the designer of her wedding dress while at a recent dinner hosted by Topshop.  Kate will be “tying the knot” with Jamie Hince of the Rock band, The Kills in July this year.
How exciting! I can’t wait to see what she ends up wearing on the big day.
 

Before I go any further will say that I have always been a huge Britney fan and I love her new song "Hold it against me"....but I cant believe the amount of shameless and blatant advertising that got shoved into her 4 and a half minute long music video.

Premier Model Management have opened their doors to Channel 4 for a revealing, new, seven-part series on the modelling industry. The show gives a documentary style look at the one of London's Leading modelling agencies. "The show documents the high-octane world of The Model Agency, from Premier's booking desk to the scouts models, designers and photographers who pass through the doors, this series follows them all during the adrenaline-fuelled weeks of show season - in the office, at the fittings and on the catwalks of the Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan, Paris and, most crucially for this British agency, London." The series, coming soon to Channel 4, promises to give an intimate and revealing look at a very private world where youth, beauty and money rule, in an industry that is envied, scrutinised and criticised in equal measure. I can't wait for it.

Jimmy Choo is diversifying their product range by releasing the brand's first fragrance. The campaign for Jimmy Choo Parfums was shot by the legendary Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadain and stars Tamara Mellon.

“I love the smell of green fresh notes, they’re in the top notes of our fragrance,” Mellon said. ”I like things that are sensual, so that’s how we came in with the patchouli.”

Formula One Boss, Bernie Ecclestone was recently the victim of a vicious robbery in which he was kicked in the head and had his watch stolen ( It was valued at £11000). The brand Hublot didn’t  even wait for the dust to settle as they have featured Bernie Ecclestones bruised  headshot less than 3 weeks after the attack.The Hublot ad features the  a quote where Bernie Ecclestone said,– “See what people will do for a Hublot”. Is this ad in poor taste? I'll let you decide.

At the Beijing Olympics 33 of the 36 swimming medals were won by Swimmers wearing the revolutionary LZR racer swimsuit. The suits were subsequently banned when body of the sport of swimming FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation) prevented the use of body suits in competitive swimming. These changes outlawed Speedo LZR Racer swimsuit and caused a surplus of the suits.

Fashion and design student from across the UK have taken up the task of reshaping the record breaking suit into a range of cutting edge fashion concepts.
Students at the London College of Fashion, University College Falmouth and the University of Huddersfield created their new designs from excess stocks of the LZR racer.

The creations include a patchwork watershort by Man Kit Au Yeung from London College of Fashion, and an ‘Afterlife’ creation featuring a cape inspired by superheroes and aimed at the high-end fashion market by Eva Hiu Wa Lai also from London College of Fashion.

 Okay Anna doesn't rap but she does lend her voice to rapper, Sean "Diddy" Combs new album. Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs, Isaac Mizrahi, Zac Posen, Tommy Hilfiger and Andre Leon Talley are featured guests on Diddy's new album Last Train to Paris. The album come out on December 14th. During fashion week, Diddy invited Fashion heavy weights to come to the studio and recorded their voices for the album.Their voices are featured in between  tracks and they all say the name of the album in different contexts. For Instance Zac Posen says "You're listening to the sounds of Dirty Money I'm Zac Posen and I'm getting on the Last Train to Paris, Get on or Get off".

I just saw the new Beatrix Ong Autumn/Winter 2010 video.  The amazing video features World Pole Dancing Champion, Elena Gibson in her studio, uncovering some of Beatrix Ong's key styles of the season. The short film is titled Conceal/Reveal. I was also  shocked when I discovered that director Mark Jubber, shot and edited the Autumn/Winter 2010 Beatrix Ong campaign film entirely on the iPhone 4. Personally I'm a Blackberry guy  but this video really is breathtaking and takes on an ethereal quality.  Who would have thought that a pole dancer could be so serene and classy?

The folks over at Fashionista have revealed that Katie Grand has chosen teen singing sensation, Justin Bieber as the cover star of the next issue of Love Magazine. Love Magazine has succumbed to Bieber Fever. Given that all of the past issues of Love magazine have featured a naked or near naked cover star. Does this mean we will see a half naked Justin Bieber on the next cover of Love magazine?? Possibly yes.. but hopefully no.

That's exactly what Shayne Ward did last night at the Myla 10th Anniversary Party. The hunky X Factor winner took off his shirt and posed with the gorgeous Myla models. When I was talking to Shayne he said that the shoot was "completely unplanned" and he felt "like a very lucky man".

Looks like everybody and their mother is doing high street design collaborations these days...and this includes Daisy Lowe's mother, Pearl Lowe. Daisy models the Peacocks collection before its hits stores on November 14th, just in time for the Holiday season. The collection features feminine details like bows and lace, with shoulder interest and on-trend embellishments...as well as this season's key piece, the cape. Will you be buying?

Over the past few months Myla and Next models have travelled across the UK to find the perfect girl that embodies everything that is beautifully sexy. Tracie Bestford from the New Faces division at Next Models said, "The search has taken us to Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds and London and we have seen hundreds of girls at castings and received a multitude of online submissions".

Myla have whittled down the entrants to 5 lucky girls. After which, the finalists, from around the UK will come to London to do a test shoot with Next. Myla's PR Manager, Melanie Hughes revealed that the winner will be announced at the exclusive Myla 10th anniversary party scheduled to take place in November. The lucky winner will star in a Myla photoshoot, receive £500 worth of Myla lingerie and be represented by Next Models.

Fred Perry announced their collaboration with Amy Winehouse back in March. However for the past few months there has been virtually no information about Amy's  Fred Perry collection. Now the brand has released the lookbook images of the collection featuring none other than Any Winehouse modelling the collection.

Does the Dior Autumn Winter 2010 look like the Jaeger AW 2010 ad campaign?

I just saw the new Lady Dior campaign ads and while I think the photos are great I can't help but think it looks a little like the Jaeger AW2010 campaign which was released earlier this year and has been in fashion mags and newspapers for the past two months. Both ads were shot in the London Eye. While there is no denyng that both ad campaigns are gorgeous, I can't help but wonder why Dior would shoot a campaign in the same location as Jaeger, during the same season? What do you think?
