It’s no secret that I have always been Team Minogue in the Epic fashion battle between Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue ( I love Cheryl but I love Dannii even more). Dannii is the cover girl for Marie Claire's January 2011 Issue. On the cover, the X Factor judge wears a gold dress from Victoria Beckham's Autumn 2010 dress collection. I’m glad to see Dannii looking absolutely stunning. Surprisingly, she isn’t wearing any of her Project D collection in the accompanying editorial.
London’s biggest shopping centre is Westfields is at the centre of an advertising controversy. Dutch retailer, Suits Supply have come under scrutiny for their sexually explicit ads that are on show at the Shopping Centre. The ad campaign is aptly titled, "Shameless" and was shot by Carli Hermes. The photographer describes them as ‘carefully designed and artistic’. One ad features a man lifting up a woman's skirt, while another shows a man leaning a woman over a table in an overtly sexual manner. The campaign has caused uproar and shoppers have complained that it is not suitable for a mall that is frequented by children. Even bloggers have taken to the blogosphere to complain about the ad campaign.
The ads have also been banned on Facebook. A spokesman for Suits Supply’s stated that ‘Facebook’s reaction is really American; strictly by the rules and especially safe.’
My take on the matter is that the ad campaign would be perfectly fine if it was hidden away in the pages of a Men's magazine like GQ or Arena Homme. However, in shopping centre it will get seen by numerous children and its target market is obviously adult men and the ad is completely inappropriate for younger shoppers.

Today Converse releases a short film featuring Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard of Hot Chip. This follows the release on October 6th of the original track ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’, a musical collaboration featuring Bernard Sumner from Bad Lieutenant, New Order and Joy Division, Alexis and Joe (Hot Chip) and Hot City.
This is all part of Converse’s year-long campaign, launched with the release of the track that celebrates the UK music scene and continues the iconic footwear brand’s commitment as a catalyst for freedom of expression and underlining its longstanding connection with music. A second track, featuring legendary musician Graham Coxon, Paloma Faith and Bill Rider Jones, formerly of the Coral, will be released next January. ‘Didn’t Know What Love Was’ is available now for music fans globally to download at www.converse.co.uk and authorized Converse websites around the world.
“Being able to work alongside Bernard, whose music has been a huge influence on us since we were young, and HotCity, who are creating some of the groundbreaking music of today, was an amazing experience,” said Alexis of Hot Chip. “As soon as we entered the studio, we connected immediately and began weaving together various influences and genres.”
At Victoria Beckham and Etro, the look was all about a pastel purple eye and
nude/golden lips. The looks is girly, fun, and perfect for party girls. In both cases the shadow was dusted up to the brows and hair was kept sleek and minimal to keep the focus on the eyes - and the fabulous clothes, of course! The skin was very clean and matte and brows were kept natural.
To copy this look at home, stick with matte lavender shades, a peachy blush and a nude gloss for Etro and ditch the blush and gloss for the more minimal style at Victoria Beckham. Consider "D. Gorgeous" shadow from Nars, a matte dusty lilac, and DuWop's "Violet Eyes" palette. The key is to keep the rest of the face and hair fairly simple, so avoid shadows with sparkly or shimmery shadows and use a light touch on the rest of the face.
If you thought orange lips were a stretch for Spring, wrap your head around this new trend for orange on the eyes. Each designer had a different interpretation of this new look, from the winged orange liner at Derek Lam, to the traffic-cone eyebrows at Damir Doma and the soft creamy orange eyes at Maurizio Pecoraro.
If we haven't seen orange eye makeup before, it is perhaps because it is difficult to pull off as an everyday or office look. But there are subtle ways to wear this shade; The soft matte "Amber Lights" "Kid" and "Rule" from Mac Cosmetics are much more wearable. For the brave hearted, the bolder Mac shades "Red Brick" "Neo-Orange" and "Orange" pack a citrusy punch.
What do you think? Will you be rocking orange on the lids for Spring?
As I mentioned before there were two collections at Untold season 7 that I took a particular liking to. The first was a collection by Tijana and Mila Popovic and the second was a menswear collection from Ross Paul Keenan. The Saville Rowe trained designer was the winner of this year's Untold competition and won the prize of showcasing his collection at Untold. After seeing his collection it was obvious why he won.
Ross Paul Keenan's collection is a fusion of vintage tailoring with a contemporary vibe. The result is a collection that is perfectly suited to the dapper man of the 21st century. I love how he reworked classic silhouettes such as the trench coat and waistcoat and gave them a modern interpretation.
The Illamasqua flagship store launched last week on Beak Street. The store offers the brands full product range and also plays home to the Illamasqua School of Makeup Art. The school offers courses on enhancing makeup skills to the next level so as to achieve the perfect vintage look. The courses are delivered by professional makeup artists that are on hand to give advice.
On Monday, we visited the Untold, London Fashion Week show at the design museum. There were two particular standout collection that really hit my radar. The first was Tijana and Mila Popvic, the designers used a floral motif throughout their collection and combined it with white and black to create a very edgy collection. My favourite piece was a white leather and denim, asymetric jacket. Other notable pieces include a lace tunic and floral print jacket. The result was a very cohesive fashion forward collection.

I just found this video on youtube and it's the funniest thing i have seen in ages. It's basically making fun of all the East London, Hipster types. However, I must make it clear that although I live in East London and I am a fashion blogger, I did get good grades in school and I am certainly not a dickhead.
"basically i'm a part time blogger and i started my own jewelery line which is like a mix of religious iconography, it's kind of has got a saved by the bell vibe"
The Evolution of photography is video. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Dior Homme is the latest brand to release a short film. "A Rendezvous" is a 5 minute long short film, directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jude Law and Slovak model, Michaela Kocianova.
