Victoria Beckham is back on the cover of Vogue. This time she has returned with  new hair extensions. Long Live Long hair!!! The bob is dead. The cover was shot by photographer Ellen Von Unwerth.

Cameron Diaz is on the July cover of Vogue UK 2010, she's disproving all rumors that you cant look hot in your 30's and beyond.  The 37 year old actress also stars in an editorial called "Little Miss Sunshine " shot by Regan Cameron and styled by Kate Phelan. Im not surprised to see Cameron on the cover as she has got two potentially huge movies coming out this summer, Shrek and Knight and Day, co-starring Tom Cruise.

There is no doubt that  Kate Moss is the queen of Vogue. Three months doesn’t go by without her covering one of the international editions of Vogue. Next month is no different as  she stars on the cover of Vogue Paris, shot by Mario Sorrenti. 

Anna Wintour, editor of the American Vogue, recently auctioned  off a week at Vogue ( yes there are people willing to pay to work at Vogue) for a whopping £28,000 ($42,500). The proceeds from the auction  will benefit the RFK Center. The week will be specially tailored to the individual interests and skill set of the auction winner. The winner will also get to attend a fashion show during New York Fashion Week. DO you think a week of working at Vogue  is worth £28,000?.. because there's someone out there who does. Apparently just being near Anna Wintour will make you chic so maybe that was the buyers plan, to get some chic-ness by association.

Pop star turned global fashion icon, Victoria Beckham  has landed herself yet another Vogue cover. This time she covers the  denim issue for the  German edition of Vogue. The editorial was shot by Alexi Lubomirski.
Victoria Beckham  has previously appeared on the cover of British Vogue, Vogue India and Vogue Russia.

Vogue has  a tradition of dedicating  issues to models. Last year an Issue of Vogue Paris was dedicated to  Lara Stone and Arthur Sales recently had an issue of Vogue Hommes.  Vogue Russia has followed this trend by having Naomi Campbell  guest edit and appear on the cover of the  Russian Vogue April 2010.

The cover was shot by Steven Meisel and the issue features editorials by Solve Sundsbo, and Mario Testino.

When questioned about why she dedicated an entire issue to Naomi Campbell, Aliona Doletskaya said:

“I wanted to debunk a few myths surrounding Naomi. When I suggested the concept, she immediately came and for an hour and a half laid out stories, photography, interviews and other sections. Clearly, quickly and in a businesslike manner.”

British Vogue is bringing a "Fresh Start" to the next decade by having Rachel Weisz on the cover of their January 2010 issue. Im a huge fan of Rachel so you wont hear a single complaint from me.

The British Version of  Vogue has put celebu-spawn, Georgia May Jagger on the cover of the November issue.  In keeping with the credit crunch  and  current budget cuts they have  dressed Georgia Jagger in a  dress from ASOS. The dress sells online for £55. This is in stark contrast to some of the high end designer pieces that usually grace the cover. It seems even Vogue readers are  not immune to the credit crunch.  The mag is packed with features on how to have " glamour for less"  and "more dash than cash".

To celebrate Vogues' global shopping extravaganza, "Fashion Night Out",   they have designed a special t shirt that will retail for £10. All the profits from the Tshirt will go to Crisis, the UK charity for the homeless.  The Tshirts will be avaialble at various stores in the West End of  London during the event which takes place tommorow, September 10th.

Designer Consuelo Castiglioni has customised the limited-edition Vogue T-shirts and has embellished them with dolls from Marni's autumn/winter 2009 collection. Consuelo Castiglioni's T shirt will be available  exclusively at Marni's  on Sloane St.

In Britain everyone is going Gaga for Lady Gaga. There isn't a day that goes by where she isn't featured in the style pages  of the daily newspapers.  She has had two back to back number 1 singles and a top 5 hit. After seeing  all of the high  fashion  in her music video for "Paparazzi" and "Dirty, Rich Beautiful"  It's no wonder Lady Gaga is set to appear in British Vogue. The woman just wreaks of fashion its like she oozes style.

Vogue staffers are being very visible as they publicly promote the September Issue documentary movie. Andre Leon Talley was a judge on the Miss Universe Telecast this weekend and Last night Anna Wintour, Vogue's Head Honcho made an appearance on David Letterman's talk-show. Anna took off her trademark shades for the interview. It was almost like we got to see the true Anna Wintour. It was funny to see Anna grilling David on his choice of socks.

Kate Moss's 1st and 28th British Vogue covers

Recently I posted about Kate Moss' 28th British Vogue cover. In the past 16 years she's had more than 2 years worth of covers. In 2000 she was on the cover of 4 British Vogues 12 covers. I cant think of any other  model that has had more covers of a particular magazine than her. In fact the only person to cover a magazine more than her is Oprah Winfrey. However , its okay for Oprah Winfrey to cover every issue of O Magazine because she owns it.

One reader of this blog,  got  especially peeved by Kate Moss' appearance on the cover of British Vogue's September 2009 issue. Benedict left the following comment on that blog posts.

Although, I dont agree with everything Benedict is saying he does make me raise the question.  Has British Vogue jumped the shark by placing Kate Moss on 28 covers? It is quite excessive , its not like there is a shortage of Supermodels.

  Art & Fashion photography are two areas that I find very captivating. Artist John Paul Thurlow, has combined  both areas with his new project.  John-Paul Thurlow plans to “retrace” the past by recreating  his favourite covers in lead and ink. So far he has  recreated over 70 covers. He has drawn the covers of Nova, Vogue, 10 Magazine, V Magazine and Dazed & Confused.
