Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, and Claudia Schiffer are on alternate covers of Vogue Korea's August Issue. The covers were shot by London-based photographer John-Paul Pietrus. I swear Naomi is Immortal. She is 38 and still can strike a pose with the best  models in the world. I think she is the best British model ever..Sorry Kate

The preview for Vogues September issue documentary has finally been released. The documentary focuses on the artistic production that went in to creating Vogues September 2007 issue, it was the largest Issue of a magazine ever created.

From watching the trailer its evident that Anna lives up to her reputation of being the most powerful woman in fashion. In the documentary shes  described as ” the single most important person in the 300 billion dollar fashion industry”. Thakoon even describes her as being “like Madonna”. I especially love how witty she is. She refers to a font as  being ” large and pretentious, it  looks like its for blind people”. Her influence  is so respected that she even advises Oscar de la Renta about what  looks he should  have on the runway.
 American Vogue  Editor at large, Andre Leon Talley  also adds to the drama. In one scene he can be seen lamenting about ” the famine of beauty, its a famine of beauty”. Overall the documentary  gives a  in depth look at how Anna’s team creates  the most renowned fashion publication on earth.

Sienna Miller is once again on the cover of US Vogue. The cover was shot by photographer Craig Mc Dean. This is Sienna's first US vogue cover since the documentary about the their September 2008 issue aired. The documentary was a sneak peak behind the process that went into creating the September Issue.   IN the documentary staffers are complaining about Sienna being  too  "toothy"  having "too many fillings" and "unruly hair". They even took her head off one picture and stuck it on another.

Sienna obviously didn't take it personally because she is back on the cover once again.

Alastair McLellan has shot American actress Julianne Moore for the Age Issue of British Vogue. I really like this cover. The styling is gorgeous and I like the natural style of the picture. I love old Hollywood glamour and I think that this photo of Julianne perfectly embodies that.

I have actually lost count of the number of Vogue issues that Kate Moss has covered. In the UK alone she  has had 27 covers. Im not even going to try to guess  at how many International Vogue covers she has had. Here is her July cover of Vogue Nippon. Is there any model that has had more covers of Vogue than Kate Moss? This woman really has had an amazing year, Shes been the face of Stella McCartney, ROberto Cavalli and Versace Shes had numerous covers of Vogue and Forbes just listed her as the 3rd highest paid model in the world. Only Giselle Bunschen and  Heidi Klum  made more money last year.

Anna Wintour may be the editor of American Vogue but her roots are planted in England. She is from a family of influential British journalists ( her dad was Editor of  the Evening Standard and her brother is the political editor of The Guardian) .

CBS has posted Anna Wintour’s interview  with 60 Minutes’,  Morley Safer and really gives an in depth look behind the most powerful woman in fashion. She was the inspiration for the movie, “the Devil wears Prada”.  She has been described as  “Darth Vader in a frock”, “Nuclear Wintour” and ” Peaches and creme with a touch of arsenic”. Whichever  description you choose to believe, its undeniable the  huge influence that this woman has had on the fashion industry.

The  girls over at Catwalk Queen have pointed out the similarities beween Beth Ditto’s Love Magazine cover and  Natalia Vodianova’s cover of June Vogue  UK.

As well as having similar cover the two mags both have the same publisher (Conde Nast)

The June issue of British Vogue features a nude Natalia Vodianova on the cover.  The issue is about the  body  and is a "celebration of shapes and style".  Some very carefully placed words are the only things covering Natalia up.  The cover was shot by Mario Testino.

The issue also comes with a style supplement featuring Jourdan Dunn on the cover. Jourdan Dunn is one of my favourite models but im not really feeling this cover its ok… just ok.

Not many models can say they have been on the cover of an edition of Vogue. Even fewer  can say they hhave covered multiple issue but only a handful have covered more than one edition in the same month. Daria Werbowy covers the British and Paris editions of Vogue this upcoming May. The British cover was shot by Mario Testino  and has a more subdued feel while the Paris edition is more edgy and was shot by Inez Vinoodh.

The April cover of British Vogue featured  Claudia Schiffer wearing a gold Versace mini dress and now the May cover of Tatler features another 90's super model Elle Macpherson wearing the same gold Versace dress.  I have always thought that it is okay to wear the same outfit as someone else as long as you  make sure that you look better wearing it.

This leaves the question, who looks better wearing it?

Eliza Cummings  has very quickly moved up the ranks of the modeling industry.  She recently was on the cover of I-D Magazines Best of British issue. Below is April 2009 Vogue Italia cover. It was shot by the legendary Stephen Meisel and has a very vintage style to it.

Agyness Deyn is on another cover of Vogue! She covers Vogue Brazil's  March Issue ( and I am barely posting about it minutes before April) I swear this girl has been on the cover of every edition of Vogue, shes done US Vogue, Korean Vogue, Chinese Vogue, Vogue Nippon , British Italian Vogue, Martian Vogue and Vogue Jupiter.

Ok … Those last two editions of Vogue dont really exist  but if they did I am sure Agyness would have been on the cover.

Scarlett Johansson has returned to being a brunette and is on the cover of the April Issue of French Vogue. The Cover reads Scarlet Johansson, The Anti Marilyn. On the cover Scarlet is seen with her new auburn hair and she is wearing a Dolce & Gabbana  corset. The shoot was photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Scarlet recently portrayed Marilyn Monroe when she was featured as the face of Dolce & Gabanna cosmetics.

Ever since this photo from Adele's shoot for American Vogue surfaced online, theres been a lot of talk about whether or not Vogue tried to make her look thinner  by photo-shopping her or by cleverly posing her. Whats my take on it? Who cares whether or not the photo has been retouche!!!  Loads of fashion photos are airbrushed and photoshoped even models who are size 2's get photoshopped so that they look like they have smaller waists or longer legs  or brighter eyes. Furthermore for celebrities who are sometimes photoshopped until they are almost  unrecognizable. At least we can still tell  its Adele in the photo.

I dont think i have ever seen this happen in any Vogue edition before. Please correct me If I am wrong. For the first time in my recollection  American Vogue has two Black women in a row on the  cover of Vogue. The March issue has the first Lady Michelle Obama  on the cover and next month's April Issue will feature Miss Sasha Fierce, Beyonce Knowles.  I was really surprised to see Beyonce nabbing the cover of Americas Style Bible as its the first  time ive ever seen back to back covers of Vogue featuring black women. Many people predicted that after Barack Obama's victory in the US we could expect to see many more ethnicities in fashion ads and campaigns.

I really like the cover Beyonce looks very demure and classy.

Yes, you heard right! Pixie Geldof is on the cover of Italian Vogue's February Issue. The magazine that has been long revered as the artistic  pinnacle of all Vogue  magazines has chosen a Socialite for its February 2009 issue.  The cover was photographed by Steven Meisel.

According to the Telegraph:
Meisel photographed Pixie and Daisy…for the current Pringle campaign, and was so taken with them he booked them for the Italian job.

What do you think of Pixie being on the cover of Italian Vogue? I just visited the fashion spot and opinions are split.

One poster said "I'm upset when she's on the cover of my Heat magazine, let alone Vogue Italia!" while another said "PIXIE! TOTALLY unexpected! She looks great."

Victoria Beckham is on the cover of  the February 2009 Issue of Russian Vogue. With a campaigns for Armani  and Marc Jacobs under her belt and a successful dress collection,  Victoria has quickly become a style icon.

The cover, was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who also shot her Emporio Armani ads.In the cover shot Victoria is seen sucking her thumb.
